Première visite spontanée chez Sato Ikakaya, un nouveau restaurant japonais avec un menu étendu, du sushi au ramen, du mazemen au porc katsu.
Service très discret mais attentionné avec des interventions au bon moment, on respecte l'espace sans se faire bousculer.
Belle salle à manger, vaste, ça respire, beaucoup mieux que certains restaurants où on entasse trop prêt au point d'entendre toutes les conversations. Belle décoration japonaise en prime.
On a voulu explorer différentes options du menu en oubliant le ramen.
Le hamachi (ie yellowtail) en crudo était aérien, splendide, présentation recherchée, le plat le plus impressionnant de tous ceux commandés. Le takoyaki, également très bien réussi, est à essayer. Pas super généreux dans les morceaux de pieuvre, le goût était quand même là dans l'ensemble.
Le sushi aburi était correct, on trouve que celui de Château Mameki est meilleur, un bon plat tout de même. En terminant, on ne souvient pas du dernier plat, mais la vinaigrette sur la salade a volé la vedette, ça on s'en souvient !
Au global, une très belle visite arrosée d'un très bon saké (ils ont un bon choix), à peu près $100 pour deux personnes, 4 plats, saké, taxes & service. Rien qu'on n'a pas mangé ailleurs déjà, mais une très belle exécution sur des plats connus & appréciés.
On recommande.

I enjoyed every part of our meal. We took a sample of pretty much everything & NOTHING disappointed. A big shoutout to the flakiness & crispyness of the katsu.

Kani was imitation crab 😢 Aburi sushi rice was super thick 😣karaage was not very good either 😰 wanted to like this place but the taste was not very authentic

Le ramen miso est savoureux, avec le sesame grillé à broyer & le radis japonais sur le côté... Miam 😋
Les nouilles soba froide avec la sauce à tremper super bon, comme notre voyage au Japon dans la préfecture de Gifu. Encore une fois, excellent!!
Le staff est super sympathique.
Good food... Had squid & real Mackerel... Family has Sushi.. Cod... There was even crispy fried chicken for my 9 year old son. Jasmine Rice was served with meals. Wine/Alcohol selection was good... The cheeze cake was also awesome.

Je recommande. Le propriétaire est sur place & il est très sympathique. La nourriture était bonne & le cocktails juste delicieux. Nous recommandons.
Nous avons beaucoup aimé! Les plats étaient délicieux & l'ambiance était parfaite (pas de musique forte & pas bruyant). Les mocktails étaient excellents. C'est un détails mais en tant que personne frileuse, je trouve que certain endroits sont trop climatisés, mais la température était parfaite aussi. Nous y retournerons c'est certain!
