I've dined here several times & have always had a good experience.
The food is delicious & the service is great.
It is on the pricey side but that's justifiable for the occasional treat.
The atmosphere & decor is unique. It's dim, loud & a bit cramped which gives it an energy that makes you feel like you're part of the party.
The staff do a great job of making you feel welcome & giving you a fun experience.
There's no reservations so there may be a wait for you to get in. It's worth it though.

Sometimes the best food experiences are completely unplanned. We were just walking around & stumbled upon Satay Brothers on Notre-Dame, & I'm so glad we decided to stop in.

We started with the chicken satay, which was perfectly grilled, juicy, & served with an incredibly flavorful peanut sauce. Then came the rice noodles & the bo bun both fresh.
To finish, we had the mango & coconut milk dessert, & it was the perfect ending to the meal. Light, creamy, refreshing, & not overly sweet.

From the food to the atmosphere & the friendly service, everything exceeded our expectations. This was one of those spontaneous discoveries that turned into a memorable dining experience.

If you're in Montreal & love authentic, flavorful food, Satay Brothers is absolutely worth a visit. A well-deserved 5/5 in every category!

Loved everything I've eaten here. I've been at lunch & early dinner on weekdays & dinner on a weekend & it's been great every time. One of my favorite restaurants in the city.

Not for me. This place has a very trendy & loud vibe with lots of people packed in. The food was just okay. The flavors were a bit underwhelming & for the price it was a bit disappointing. We mostly came for a snack so luckily we didn't order too much. We got the following:

Gado Gado Salad: this salad was not bad. I felt it was relatively heavy & wished there was some more acid in the dish. I liked the variety of vegetables. The fried tofu was quite cold & unpleasant to me.

Rendang Beef: this beef was braised in coconut milk but somehow has no coconut flavour. It was very salty & heavy. The beef was pretty tender but the overall flavor was not my favorite.

I would not personally go back, but I could see this being a cool place to try for others.
