Signature dishes feature succulent grilled meat skewers served with a rich, velvety peanut dipping sauce that provides a classic savory profile. The culinary repertoire extends to spicy laksa noodle soups, fluffy steamed buns, and crispy fried delicacies that capture the essence of hawker center traditions. Fresh aromatic herbs, fiery chili pastes, and complex spice blends define every plate prepared in this vibrant, high-energy environment. The kitchen prioritizes authentic preparation methods to ensure consistent intensity across all grilled and stir-fried offerings. Review Summary

Satay Brothers is widely celebrated as a vibrant and essential culinary destination in Montreal, known for its fun atmosphere, eclectic decor, and authentic Southeast Asian dishes. Many diners praise the consistently delicious food, frequently highlighting the pork belly bao buns, papaya salad, and laksa as standout items. While the energetic and lively environment is appreciated by those seeking a festive night out with friends or large groups, some guests find the music and acoustics make conversation challenging. Service is generally described as attentive, professional, and welcoming, though experiences can vary during peak hours. Some visitors feel the portions are small relative to the price or that certain dishes can be overly salty, but most reviews emphasize a high level of satisfaction, describing the restaurant as a consistent, must visit spot that captures the essence of a night market experience.

Mannn this place was so top tier, 10 outta 10. We had a party of 8, so it was a « set menu », which they altered because of our various food restrictions & overall just wants. I didn't take a picture of all the food that was brought to us because I was diving in there as soon as the plate touched the table but likeeeeee it was sooo good. Not pictured is the super well seasoned fish, which paired with the bao buns were my favourite dishes. The waiter was also amazing & didn't stop bringing plates over until we were full

I went to this restaurant with a friend, & we had such an amazing time! The highlight of our meal was definitely the papaya salad - absolutely delicious & full of flavor. The Amaretto Sour was also on point, perfectly balanced & refreshing. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking to hang out with friends or enjoy a cozy date night. Great vibes all around!

Top notch!!!!
Kway Teow was so flavourful with good wok hei flavours. Chicken satay skewers were crispy on the outside & tender meat, & that peanut sauce on the side was scrumptious. Garlic veggies were delicious. Our server was super friendly & approachable, generously gave us a piece of kueh bengka to finish our meal to celebrate a birthday. Kueh bengka was moist & the coconut flavours weren't overpowering. If i'm ever in the city again, definitely going out of my way to come back!!

I can always count on satay for exceptional food & service. in a city like Montreal where you have a million restaurant options, i find myself constantly coming back to the OG of them all. Shout out to Frank for making our experience an amazing one. My colleagues were absolutely blown away by the evening. The team always manages to impress me. No matter how many times I go to Satay Brothers, they always leave me wanting more.

The wait was way tooooooo long.. They put you in a waiting lounge where you can get drinks, but it's not comfortable enough to make it ok to wait an hour to get a table.. Then if you're 2 people they will sit you with strangers & it's so loud you have to scream... We were there for almost 3 hours, the food was amazing though.. But the wait time & no reservation for less than 6 people will make me think twice to go again.
