I had the pleasure of sharing a dinner with for a friend's birthday at this restaurant last night. I had never been before since I live on the other side of the city but, WORTH THE TRIP from Montréal West. The food is delicious, the portions are great, the staff are warm, friendly & kind; it's the type of restaurant that fills the belly & the soul. We were a group of eight (they take reservations, not a huge place so best to call ahead for groups), so we all ordered different things & shared. Everything I tried was great; the fried chicken though 🤤 Tasty drinks too!
Made a reservation for 10 people on a Saturday night. All interactions with staff, from the initial phone call to the end of that Saturday night, were great. The lady serving us (regret not getting her name) was extremely friendly & accommodating, ensuring we felt at home throughout the whole night. Since we were a big group, she recommended the VIP platter (a sharing style platter with all types of fried foods: yucca, plantains, chicharron, chicken, & a couple other items) & it did not let us down, everyone loved the food. What more can I say: Great food, drinks, music & service.
It brought me back to Dominican Republic all over! The food it's so authentically delicious & sancocho was soooo good! My daughters & I love it so much! Also best fried chicken, I had fried fish 🙏🏾😭it was so amazing! Their jus also was so authentic that reminded me of Dominican. Definitely recommend to go!
When you enter the restaurant, you start reading all the messages written all over the walls. Very cozy environment with latino music background & superb service. It was not busy for a Friday evening. This was our first time eating mofongo & it did not disappoint. If you are a plantain lover, this is your dish! The beef mofongo was a saucy dish which went well with the mofongo, the chicken was well seasoned but it was pan fried, so it was on the dried side. Both complemented by a small salad & an amazing salsa. We also tried their sancocho & it was so rich, so flavour... if you are a soup lover, you will love it. Don't forget to ask for dessert as it is not in the menu! We had tres leches, flan de coco, & regular flan. All very good! Overall it was a great experience trying this Dominican restaurant: the food, the ambiance, the people.
Authentic Dominican Street food. Fried everything. Delicious, can't wait to go back. Good value for money too. I peaked in the kitchen & the place was spotless!
The food waa so delicious 😋. We ordered for take out: the beef with white rice , fried chicken & the most delicious mofongo that we ever had. I will order it again. The staff are very friendly & the place is nice & clean 👌 .
