I've been a big fan of sansotei over the years & this was my first time at the Mackay location. Unfortunately, it didn't measure up. The tonkotsu black was bland - both the broth & the chasu pork lacked the full rich flavour I was used to & the noodles were slightly overcooked. The chasu is also sliced super think like a cold cut so the value is not there either. No one came to ask how we liked it. Maybe this is the sad reality with multiple franchises but I won't be returning to Sansotei again.
It's a good place to hangout & have lunch but could use some more options on the menu.
Un des meilleur ramen manger autant le bouillon que les nouilles le service es impecable & rapide une belle ambiance & une belle proprete
I was warmly greeted by a friendly staff when I first arrived.
For someone with a seafood allergy, the staff was incredibly helpful in guiding me to safe ingredients for my ramen. It ended up being delicious & everything I was craving.
Best ramen in town, great price, great ambiance, great service. Will keep going back!
Amazing ramen, quick service, & the lady taking your order is the sweetest. Would recommend giving it a try!
The tonkotsu black is legit the best ramen. 🍜 Sansotei for me. Is the best place for a good affordable ramen! Highly recommended
C'était bon j'ai aimé en tout cas ça vaut la peine pour le prix & le service à la clientèle etait bon. & le poulet j'ai vraiment adoré
One of my favorite ramen spots in Montreal Sansotei Ramen stands out with its flavorful options & cozy atmosphere.
I ordered the Black Tonkotsu Ramen, which came with chashu (charred pork), wood ear mushrooms, soft-boiled egg & a black garlic oil that added an incredible aroma & depth of flavor - 10/10.
I also tried the Black Miso Ramen, which had a bold miso & mushroom profile. It's a bit thicker & saltier, perfect if you prefer a strong, hearty broth, with tender pork belly & egg - 9/10.
The space is warm & cozy, great for couples or small groups, though it might be a bit tight for larger parties.
Located right in the heart of Montreal's Asian food hub, surrounded by Japanese, Korean, & Chinese eateries, Sansotei is a place I'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!
