A very accessible ramen restaurant located in downtown Montreal, just a 5-minute walk from Guy-Concordia metro station. The atmosphere is calm & pleasant, & the staff-often Japanese-are very friendly.
I do find the menu a bit limited for people who aren't big fans of pork, like myself. However, there is a chicken ramen that I've had twice & highly recommend, especially with the spicy sauce you can add for $1.
Prices are quite reasonable. If you enjoy ch?sh? (braised or marinated pork slices, belly or shoulder), there are three options to choose from depending on your taste.
One of my favorite ramen spots in Montreal Sansotei Ramen stands out with its flavorful options & cozy atmosphere.
I ordered the Black Tonkotsu Ramen, which came with chashu (charred pork), wood ear mushrooms, soft-boiled egg & a black garlic oil that added an incredible aroma & depth of flavor - 10/10.
I also tried the Black Miso Ramen, which had a bold miso & mushroom profile. It's a bit thicker & saltier, perfect if you prefer a strong, hearty broth, with tender pork belly & egg - 9/10.
The space is warm & cozy, great for couples or small groups, though it might be a bit tight for larger parties.
Located right in the heart of Montreal's Asian food hub, surrounded by Japanese, Korean, & Chinese eateries, Sansotei is a place I'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!

Pretty good food. My friend & I sat outside on a nice day & we were able to quickly order/be served. I got the Shoyu ramen. Unfortunately the atmosphere was nice enough that some wasps came to enjoy it with us, & one dipped into my bowl when I was halfway through eating. So I chose not to finish my food, but that's not anyone's fault. The server was very nice & apologetic about it. Had a good time, I'd recommend it.
Really good Ramen & Gyoza! The broth was tasty, not too salty or rich, & all the ingredients were high quality. The ramen egg was really good! & the chicken breast & smoked pork that we had in the soup were not the cheap shredded type you often get. I'd definitely recommend this place.
Pour avoir voyagé au Japon & goûté à de nombreux ramen sur place, je peux dire que ce restaurant s'en rapproche vraiment beaucoup en termes de saveurs. Le goût est authentique, les plats bien préparés. Excellent rapport qualité-prix & un service agréable en prime. Une belle découverte que je recommande !

Les saveurs étaient riches, parfaitement équilibrées, & chaque bouchée était un pur délice. Le bouillon était savoureux & les garnitures d'une qualité irréprochable. De plus, le restaurant lui-même est superbe : une ambiance moderne & élégante, idéale pour un repas agréable & mémorable. Le service était également impeccable, avec un personnel attentionné & accueillant. Je recommande Sansotei à tous les amateurs de ramen ou à ceux qui veulent découvrir une cuisine japonaise de qualité. C'est un endroit où l'on a hâte de revenir !
Sansotei is a good ramen restaurant. The ramen I had was actually quite tasty, I personally liked it. We also go Gyozas, although they weren't anything special & were quite bland. I believe they are just frozen gyozas that they just pan fry. I recommend this place to anytone who enjoys a warm, hearty bowl of ramen though!
The ramen was DELICIOUS. Savoury, clear, & umami broth with perfectly cooked noodles. Toppings were pickled to perfection. Every bite was delicious. Prices are good for good proportions. Service was good it's just I got a little pressed by the manager for not leaving a tip. Would still go back for the food though, highly recommend.
