Though this particular ramen fell short, the restaurant may still offer a solid ramen experience worth trying.View more
I tried the new vegetarian option - miso vegetarian ramen - & I was pleasantly surprised! The broth is smooth & flavorful, with a touch of (I think) garlic oil. Tofu was chewy & daikon was very well cooked. I think adding a crunchy veggie would make the dish even better. But overall, exceeds expectations!!!View more
Some of the most delicious tonkotsu broth I have had in years. Delicious fried chicken as well. Order was taken swiftly & food was delivered promptly. Great spot to grab a hearty lunch.View more
okay i know it's a chain but this will always be my go-to for ramen. used to do the trip from gatineau to ottawa to eat at their ottawa location. i'm so glad there's one here in montreal. tonkotsu black is my personal favourite, i love the crunchy black fungus & the porc is always so good. recently tried the miso black & that one is so good too. the broth no matter what you get is so so so so so so good. c'est écoeurant!!! the servers are always so nice.View more
"One of the best ramen spots in Canada! The flavors are exceptional - the mushroom adds a delightful salty touch, the broth perfectly balances savory & sweet, & the pork is incredibly tender. They also offer a delicious vegetarian option. Highly recommend!"View more
I walked in on a very very cold & stressful day. It was a very clean & welcoming place. Although almost all of their broths contain pork, they have a veggie broth & chicken broth. Be sure to ask for it if you don't eat pork. I tried the chicken ramen & it LITERALLY healed my soul. It was so simple, comforting, healthy, fresh, flavourful & at a perfect temperature. I wish they had a brunch in Toronto. 100% recommended. All the best to their business.View more
First time trying it & I'm very satisfied. Tried the Tonkotsu Black, the broth was tasting great. Also the meat was very well cooked. Everything was perfect.View more
I got their karaage chicken & fried corn as an appetizer, & it was delicious. Their ramen was also really good. Their broth is lighter than an average ramen. Nevertheless, it warmed my soul. For more reviews on different mtl restaurants, visit @lifewithkarbs on instagramView more
Best Ramen shop I've been to. Good price & good food quality. It was served very quickly & broth was very flavorful, probably homemade & not instant powder. Waiters were nice & pork was tender.View more
Best ramen I've had in Montreal. The broth was deeply flavorful & meat was tender & fattyView more
Sansotei Ramen on Sainte-Catherine is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic ramen! The location is ideal, right in the bustling downtown area, making it a perfect stop whether you're out shopping or meeting up with friends. The atmosphere inside is cozy & modern, setting the stage for a great dining experience. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The waiters were super friendly & attentive, making sure everything was just right & offering helpful suggestions. The ramen was absolutely delicious, with a rich, flavorful broth & perfectly cooked noodles. If you're looking for a top-notch ramen spot in the city, Sansotei Ramen won't disappoint!View more
Broth is rich & noodle is good not too salty I would return to this placeView more
I tried their ramen for the first time at the ramen ramen fes 2024 opening. They had a kiosk & I got the classic tonkatsu. The broth was flavourful, the noodles perfectly cooked, the grilled pork was amazingly tender. Would absolutely go back againView more
The food is perfect for what it is. All the ingredients are cooked exactly as they should be. The eggs are soft boiled, the roasted pork is moist & the pork bone broth is deeply delicious. The mushrooms are sweet & spicy & the chili threads are just hot enough. I don't think the Ramen can actually be improved upon.View more
The ramen was above average but the bone broth did not seem as rich as I am used to. The noodles were also a little undercooked for me. Otherwise an above average ramen location with outstanding wait staff.View more
Good taste & value for the price! I would've liked more taste in the broth. It seems to be missing missing the spicy mayonnaise that usually bring up the spice on the fried chicken. Oh well, it still is a good meal overall!View more
This is the best ramen place in Montreal by far. I had the Tonkotsu Black Ramen & the broth was so flavourful & not too salty, unlike other ramen places. The service was really quick so not much waiting. If you want to try an authentic tasty ramen, this is the place to go.View more
Arrived in Montreal on a cold day & decided ramen would be a good call. From all the good reviews I'm shocked that I didn't enjoy my experience. 1) the bowl is small, 2) there wasn't enough broth for the amount of noodles & 3) the noodles tasted like regular al dente spaghetti noodles which was super disappointing & 4) the broth was not piping hot. I've had better ramen. Service & people were nice though.View more
Very tasty ramen & the location is right in the heart of downtown Montreal. My family & I shared everything from the chicken wings, tonkatsu plus & black. The aromatics & broth were so rich. Even on a hot summer day this was absolutely delicious. I could taste the rich truffle oil in my tonkatsu plus. Portions are fair & can be shared. They offer different ramen add ons & drinks as well. The interior was very clean. They had wood accents all along the walls & very high ceilings. Food comes out quickly & you can fully customize your ramen. I saw plenty of people enjoy their ramen alone. Staff were really friendly & accommodating. If you want some authentic Japanese ramen this is the spot.View more
Pretty good ramen with good flavourful broths. Noodles cooked well.View more
They have the best broth. So flavorful. The staffs are really helpful & friendly.View more
Some of the best ramen we've ever had...the broths were full of flavor & great noodles with fresh ingredients, excellent service....the only downside is that seating is a little tight.View more
Rich broth, generous slices of pork, a step up for Montreal's long suffering ramen scene. All menu items are well considered & carefully prepared. Staff are knowledgeable & friendly. Prices are on the higher side for Montreal, but in a high rent location that can be overlooked. Extra appetizers felt unnecessary considering the portion sizes. Next time I'll try the tomatoe ramen. Atmosphere was a little crowded, loud & cluttered for my tastes.View more
First time eating Ramen! Broth so good! Tasty soup!View more
Great broth but the guy said the thick noodles were the rice ones but then we all ended up getting egg noodles. Good thing no one was allergic.View more
Casual place for a quick ramen. Recommend for rainy days. Recognizing that this is a chain, here's a few things I liked/ disliked: Liked: Service is quick, & the server to table ratio seems good. The bamboo shoots & eggs are quite good with better texture than most places Disliked: The chashu still has a hint of gamy pork taste, but the texture is great. The broth could be better & having basic toppings like scallions would be great Overall a good experienceView more
Broth & noodles always consistent. One of the server Andy provide amazing serviceView more
first sip was spectacular & you wonder what makes it so much better than other places. I came with low expectations because this is a chain but was just amazed at the quality of the broth & the noodlesView more
We had Simple & Tonkotsu+. Frankly, the key element the broth lacked the body I enjoy in a great ramen. Service & ambience great.View more
