We went to this restaurant for our first dinner in Montreal after hearing good things, & we were not disappointed. We ordered a full portion of chicken dumplings & another of juicy pork dumplings. Both were well prepared & served hot, though we found the juicy pork dumplings to be slightly more authentic-the texture reminded us of bao.
One small note: be careful while eating the dumplings, as the juices inside can get a bit messy.View more
Les Xia Long Bao sont délicieux.
Très bon rapport qualité prix!View more
Always worth the wait. Great selection of xiao long bao & pan fried dumplings. Don't forget the red bean buns for dessert. One of my favorite stops in Montreal.View more
Sammi Soupe is a classic & will forever be a staple to the flourishing downtown Montreal dumpling scene. I ordered their lamb xiao long bao paired with a ginger ale & had an absolute blast with friends.View more
Finally tried this place after seeing in on social media repeatedly, & it is WORTH THE HYPE. Food was amazing, tasted very authentic (coming from a Chinese) & the flavours were spot on. We tried the classic pork xiao long bao as well as the shrimp & coriander, the pork & cabbage dumplings, the pork & the shrimp wontons & the cucumber salad & they were all delicious. The service was nice & fast, despite how busy it was. Would definitely recommend.View more
These were very solid soup dumplings (xiao long bao) & I really enjoyed them. I tried the #14 Porc & Coriandre & #15 Poulet & Champignon. Both had very distinct flavors & you could taste the cilantro & mushroom in each of them. Wrapper had a good chewer texture & none of them were broken in the basket, which has happened to me at some cheaper soup dumpling restaurants. Restaurant was small & a little tight, but that was fine.View more
Sammi &Soupe Dumpling on St Catherine is a sister restaurant of Sammi in Chinatown. Identical menu, though noticed skin of Xiao Long Bao here was a bit thicker than in Chinatown. Outdoor seating available on St Catherine location.View more
Lamb & coriander xiao long bao had delicious broth inside. Spicy cucumber dish was crunchy & tasty. Pork & chive pan fried dumplings had more muted flavors & needed the vinegar-soy combo sauce at table. It was a bustling place when we're there so don't expect a lot of attention, but servers responsive when you catch their eye. It's also not a place for quiet conversation. But good meal while on pricy side. However, worth it, as seemed like no msg, which I'm sensitive to.View more
We found this by accident was looking for a Taiwanese restaurant nearby however it seems it's closed so we look on google map & found this one. It turns out we really like the Xiao Long Bao & the fried dumplings & the price is very budget friendly as well. It's handmade & you can see them cooking it in the open kitchen. Staff is working efficiently there is not much wait time during meal hours.View more
Be prepared to wait because they don't have alot of tables inside. Xiao Long Baos were very tastyView more

This place is so great in every single way. The excellent food & service make every minute of the wait in line worth it. The cumin lamb xiao long bao are simply spectacular, & the pan fried beef curry & tofu dumplings left me & my girlfriend speechless. & Brian's attentive & upbeat service was the cherry on top. Thank you for such a great dining experience!View more
It was my go-to dumpling place in Montreal. But not today.. not as good as before! I was very disappointed by their quality of xia long bao & pan-fried dumplings.. what happened to the place? xia long bao dough was a bit saggy & most of piece were broken, that's why juice all came out even before I picked them.. about pan-fried dumpling, they changed their dumpling shape.. from original skinny half-moon to rounded dumpling shape.. I ordered fish fan-fried dumpling ..the filling are not fresh! Edge of dumpling skin was too hard(not crispy),not seasoning! not tasty! Also, most importantly, there was no crispy layer on my pan-fried dumplings..View more
Xiao long bao: Délicieux, abordable, rapide, jamais déçu. Voilà.View more
The Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) at Sammi are always a solid 10/10. I can never have too many. I particularly recommend the pork, shrimp, & scallop. Yum! I've been here countless times (at least 30). They have a new outdoor patio which is nice but the service was a little slow. The waiter started talking to his friend as I was halfway through my order. Nevermind. Go for the dumplings.View more
