Soup dumpling skin was too thick for good traditional soup dumplings. The soup was good, light with a good amount of flavour.
Service: I did not eat in I took out. The staff was friendly & kind although I cannot judge fully as my experience was fairly quick

I had heard so many great things about this restaurant, & it definitely lived up to the hype! The dumplings were juicy, flavorful, & absolutely delicious. The portions are generous for the price & leave you feeling full & satisfied. I did try the sweet & sour soup, which wasn't quite to my taste, the texture was a bit too thick, & the flavor didn't really work for me. That said, overall everything was really good, & the service was quick & efficient. I'd happily go back!View more

The Chinese dumplings here were amazing! They instantly brought back memories of the flavors from a famous dumpling restaurant I loved in China. Each dumpling was full of rich, flavorful soup, & the meat filling was tender & delicious. The service was excellent-staff were kind & attentive-& the restaurant is in a very convenient location. This was already our second visit, & we came all the way from Chicago. It's definitely one of our favorites on our must-visit list!View more

The line was not too long. We ordered the pork soup dumplings & the fried pork ones. They were both very delicious! They each have their unique attributes to it that make them special from other dumplings. Dumplings are also made in front of your eyes. The price was also not too bad. We've ordered here numerous times- our go-to is the chicken mushroom soup dumplings. They're delicious but definitely better served in person. We've also had the lamb coriander, shrimp coriander, beef teriyaki, & fried chicken& cabbage. Everything we've had is delicious. The beef teriyaki is unique & tasty. My partner & I visited Sammi & Soup in Chinatown, & it was such a treat! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff moved diners through quickly, & we were seated within 15 minutes. As a dumpling enthusiast, I was thrilled by the variety on the menu-fried, soup, & steamed options with so many delicious fillings to choose from. After much deliberation, we decided on the pork & chive soup dumplings, lamb soup, & sweet pork fried dumplings. The soup dumplings were absolutely incredible-bursting with flavor & perfectly tender. The fried dumplings were a touch greasy, but the pork filling was juicy & satisfying. The vibe of the restaurant is upbeat & casual, with a mostly younger crowd, making it a great spot for a quick, flavorful meal. Sammi's is an INCREDIBLE Dumpling joint in Montreal. I was ready to go back to the train station to return home & I was craving dumplings on a cold summer evening. The service is fast, the staff is friendly & their dumplings are bomb! I would 100% return because there are a lot of items on the menu I have yet to try.
