I've already seen a lot of advertising about this place, what can I say, dumplings are quite ordinary, nothing special, all classic. It seems to me that all these restaurants around the Chinese district. They are all very similar. They are like dumplings. Some are boiled, some are fried, but I can't point out any features, so I give it a three. Only because, well, it's normal.🤷🏻?♂?View more
Amazing food!! I was extremely impressed. I may have ordered too much but I ate all of it! Dumplings, fried (pork & cabbage) & steamed (coriander & pork) with a wonton soup!View more
Another new restaurant to put in the rotation for when we visit Montreal. The fried dumplings were good but the soup dumplings were out of this world.
We got pork & chive dumplings & will definitely get those next time we go back as well as more of the soup dumplings.View more
Food was delicious. The fried beef curry dumplings the peanut butter dumplings, spicy cucumber were all really good. Atmosphere & music was enjoyable. After we were served our appetizers the service was not as attentive. The server could have done a better job to check on us, see if the food was good & refill our water.View more
The first time I visited this place, my wife & I were amazed about the quality of the dumplings, the flavor & the filling. Fried curry chicken are so rich in flavor that I would consider it the star dish. However, for our second visit, we noticed the service was really low. They took 15 min to get someone for our order. Then, our intention was to have 2 different dumplings but one of them was given to another table or just missed. Until I asked the waiter what happened to the order, she apologized & it took another 20 min to get them. I cant complain at all, but this place gets really crowded sometimes. It is worth the wait but just consider it.View more
Ordered the seaweed salad, spicy tofu, pork soup dumplings, & pork & chives fried dumplings. Loved the spicy tofu. Soft, refreshing, lightly sweeten, & spice were just right. The pork soup dumplings were delicious. Fried dumplings are just okay.View more
The dumplings here are delicious. We tried the pork & cabbage ones & the lamb ones & they were both very tasty. There was also juice on the inside of it. So be careful one the first bite. The spicy oil is not spicy at all. So worries if you might see it on the cold peanut butter noodles. However, I find that the noodles were a little too cold & made them a little on the harder side. I had to let them sit for a little bit to warm up & it was a bit better. The sauce only had a slight peanut butter taste. I had the same dish at another one of their locations & it was much better. I would probably not order this from here again. Also their steamer was broken when we were there & we couldn't order any steamed dumplings. Despite all these things, I still enjoyed my experience & I recommend their fried dumplings.View more
Little dumpling spot in Chinatown, had a lot of traffic coming in so that was a good indicator that the food was good. I ordered the juicy pork dumplings/ original soup dumpling & a side of the peanut sauce, along with the hot & sour cucumber & the beef & curry pan fried dumplings. Both dumpling options were really good rebut to me the soup dumplings were the star of the show. If you're trying this place alone or for a table of 2, their dumpling portions are large, fyi. Also get the peanut sauce, you won't regret it!View more
Busy, two groups ahead of me, but did not wait long for table (we only 2 people). Soup Dumplings had good soup. Fried dumpling had crispy bottom.View more
Best steamed dumplings I ever had! Didn't even know I liked them before going to this restaurant! I was however not impressed by the fried dumplings & the starter there, so I'll go back only for the steamed. I also always had to wait for the times I've been there, so you have to be prepared.View more
If you like dumplings served 20 different ways this is the place to go. 4 of us tried the soup - pork, shrimp & scallop dumplings, soup - chicken & mushroom dumplings, pan fried - pork & Chinese cabbage dumplings, pan fried - pork $ chive dumplings All dishes were around $15. Fresh handmade dumplings cooked to order. Very tasty & came with chilli sauce, soya & vinegar sauce for dipping. Super filling. The restaurant is in the heart of Montreal Chinatown & is very busy & crowded but the service is quick & tables turn over fast. A definite must try for dumpling lovers.View more
My Chinese friend recommended this place. We had pan-fried dumplings because you get fewer dumplings if you choose steamed unlike other dumpling restaurants in Chinatown. There was a long line up with (seemed to be) locals which was a good sign so we called for pick up & ate in our hotel room. By the time we got the hotel, dumplings were not super hot but warm. Dumplings were cooked well, juicy inside & crispy outside - we loved it. I'll certainly try steamed one next time! I highly recommend this place & you should call (more expensive with Uber Eats etc) for pick up & skip the line :)View more
These dumplings have such a nostalgic taste 🥹 In the heart of Chinatown & inexpensive. I can also recommend the pan fried dumplings on top of the famous soup dumplings.View more
Fast service, cute little place with a large variety of fried & steamed dumplings. 🥟 Get the cold peanut butter noodlesView more
Most delicious soup dumplings & fried dumplings!! Yummy yummy sammi!!View more
Ordered one order of soup dumplings, one order of pan fried dumplings, cucumber, & PB noodles & it was just right for two adults & one toddler with a spotty appetite. If you're new to eating soup dumplings, there's a little how to on the table for you. (Just over 40 CAD after tip.) They accept credit cards. Food was good but not the best we've ever had. Located on the pedestrian friendly "street". Arrived around 11:30 AM with no wait on a Friday. After 12, all the tables were full. There are 6 booths & about 10 tables (making up configurations of 2 & 4) altogether. There is a restroom for customers. Entrance is NOT ADA friendly (no ramp).View more
This is one of the best dumpling places in Montréal overall, not just Chinatown. The soup dumplings are juicy & flavourful, & you can't go wrong with the pan fried dumplings either. We eat here at least once every time we're in Montréal. 😊 ❤️ No photos, because it was so good, we ate quickly (& there's always a crowd, so we didn't want to hold them up). 🙂View more
Delicious soup dumplings - we got the classic pork along with some pan-fried dumplings. Highly recommend both!View more
I'm a silly lil girl & did not try the soup dumplings! But the pan fried dumplings 🥟 were delicious! & the cucumber starter was also very nice. The place is very clean & they serve you fast! We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table!View more
Everything was good. We had lamb & shrimp ones, soup & fried. The staff were friendly. Would go next time for sure.View more
Amazing pan fried & steamed dumplings. Soup dumplings just like in China. If you can get a table enjoy the quick & attentive service - just be ready to be cozy with those sitting around you owing packed number of tables in small space. But well worth it!View more
This restaurant is located in Chinatown, easy to find & bustling with activity. We waited for about 10 minutes before getting a table, but the food was served quickly. We ordered two appetizers (cucumbers & seaweed salad), two baskets of soup dumplings, one order of pan-fried dumplings, & two bowls of soup. The soup was average, especially the hot & sour soup didn't impress, but I really enjoyed their soup dumplings & appetizers. There were many options for soup dumplings, & we ordered pork soup dumplings & chicken mushroom. We all agreed that the chicken mushroom was the most delicious, but the pork was great too. However, the pan-fried dumplings were too greasy, with a layer of oil at the bottom of the plate, but the lamb filling was very tasty. Overall, the food was decent, & the service was quick with the servers delivering the food promptly.View more
First time eating soup dumpling.Omg, were they good!!!! The fried dumpliwere great as well. Had my beef with it all, soooo good!! Highly recommend. Great for sharingView more
I love soup dumplings & when there's a place that specializes in it, you know we'll be there! I really enjoyed the pan fried ones. I also really enjoyed the soup dumplings. The only thing I'd say is that the dough wrapper/skin could be a little thinner. Also love the custom bowls, plates & spoons :) I find a lot of Montréal restaurants do this which is a nice touch. Would I go back? 100%! Please open one in Markham Ontario!View more
Ordered 1 fried & 2 steamed soup dumplings. The dumplings were hot & delicious! The pork bao was amazing! Beef & coriander was my personal favourite ,the beef curry was a close second! Worth the line-up 🥟🤩View more
It was good but not great. We ordered 5 different dumplings number 12, 15, 19, 24,25 & spicy & sour cucumbers. I really liked the dumplings number 25 - Beef & Curry. To my taste fried dumplings are tastier, but steamed dumplings are also good & have a delicate, thin dough. I wanted shrimp dumplings so badly, but I was not lucky - Xioa Long Bao shrimp & coriander at number 19 was completely flavorless shrimp. The waiters took to the kitchen to check & it turned out that everything was right - we were served dumplings with shrimps. But it should be noted that for this trouble they brought us Seaweed salad. I liked that. The cucumbers were nothing special to me. but my husband loved it. The prices are great. We waited in line at the door for 25 minutes on Saturday.View more
4.5/5: Fried dumplings come out a bit faster than steamed, though it comes to personal preference, I'd still say traditional steamed dumplings are better. Pork classic is good. Pork, shrimp, scallops is also decent- not minced, can distinguish the ingredients inside. Fried dumplings are drier & sometimes the bottom has greasy bits/burnt. 2 orders seem to be the right amount for a hungry person.View more
Stopped by for a quick bite in the afternoon. Classic pork dumplings were great, but I'll try something other than the fried beef/curry dumplings next time :)View more
Very good dumplings, we had the steamed & the fried one & it was delicious. Authentic & flavourful, I definitely recommend if you're in Chinatown to go there for dumplings. Fast service, great ambiance.View more
