We went to Montreal in search of the best dumplings. From the three restaurants we went to, we gave the #1 rank to this restaurant. We ordered the pork dumpling & chicken/mushroom. These were amazing. The wrap was thin but strong to hold the soup. The flavour on the meat is good. The service was great as well. The wonton soup was good. Nothing to brag about this one. lol. & we stopped here on the way for a walk. First time here. I've already seen a lot of advertising about this place, what can I say, dumplings are quite ordinary, nothing special, all classic. It seems to me that all these restaurants around the Chinese district. They are all very similar. They are like dumplings. Some are boiled, some are fried, but I can't point out any features, so I give it a three. Only because, well, it's normal.🤷🏻?♂?View more

The dumplings are definitely delicious & flavorful but the portion sizes are small & quite overpriced for what you get. Don't come hungry, because you won't leave full.
The place itself is very small, & when it's full (which is often), it gets really loud, making it hard to chat or enjoy a relaxed meal. On top of that, the service leaves a lot to be desired. We patiently raised our hands for about 10 minutes before anyone noticed us, & even then, it took another 5 minutes for them to come back. We waited roughly 15 minutes or more just to get our water refilled, & about 20-35 minutes to get served.
Overall, it's a cute spot if you're in the mood for a quick, tasty treat.. but don't expect a full meal or attentive service.View more

I got the classic Pork soup dumplings, & they were amazing. I wish I could've eaten two of them because I really wanted to try the pork & chive ones too. They were very busy with a line out the door, but we were quickly seated & served dinner.View more

Went there on Saturday around noon.
Resto is located along the busy street of Rue De la Gauchetière in Chinatown Montreal.
At first you'll never notice their resto since there are a lot of resto in the area with lots of appetizing banners showcasing their menus, what sets them apart is the looooong line of customers willing to wait & to be seated. We decided to give it a try luckily wait time is short.
Upon entering, no fancy decorations & everything is simple. Their menus only have dumplings & some appetizers.
We asked the server for their best seller & we ordered the classic juicy pork, spicy tofu & pizza dumpling as recommended.
Upon first bite of their dumpling, I finally understand why people are lining up. Dumpling was really delicious, can be compared to Din Fai Fung actually! I also like their' pizza twist' to usual dumpling, didnt know that cheese & dumpling combo is good (plus the crispy thing beneath the dumpling).
Resto is good for quick snack/lunch/dinner. Pretty straight forward kinda resto. Overall experience was great. Hope they can expand the variety of dumpling flavors that they offer.
Recommendation: there should always be someone manning the door/entrance to manage the line & avoid homeless from getting in
(we were approached by a homeless while eating on our table inside the resto - asking us for money, it was a bit scary. Good thing another server was fast to act & had the homeless leave)
Tip: if you dont want to wait for too long , go to their other branch at St Catherine as it has less crowd/line compared to this oneView more

Moi & mon copain avons pris la soupe wonton, la soupe aigre-piquant, & les dumpling au porc & ceux agneau & coriandre.
