The food was amazing, I had pollo picatta al limone, our server was very professional, however assumed I wanted pollo Toscana so luckily I clarified otherwise I would have gotten a different dish. There's outdoor seating. The only issue is that the portions are tiny. It was just a chicken breast with some vegetables. I was still hungry so we ordered dessert, both the tiramisu & chocolate mousse, & they're outstanding! Best tiramisu I've had in my life!!View more
Wow, what a discovery! Facts: this is an Italian restaurant; it has an extensive wine list that complements much of the scratch made menu items. Notable differences from "other" Italian restaurants: the menu has a lot of off-the-beaten-path items (zucchini flowers as appetizers) as well as well-thought interpretations that transport you to Italy. The sauces are well simmered, so they develop a rich taste, enhancing the meats, fish or vegetables. We didn't have desserts, but the veal meatballs (with its Parmesan gratin & tomato sauce) & zucchini flowers as appetizers were well received, & the main courses of rapini sausage pasta (a bit oily, though), gnocchi & tuna plates were well executed. Don't forget to ask for bread to capture all the sauces that come with main dishes - it's a shame to waste it!View more

This place is a hidden gem. Although the restaurant is small, it was phenomenal. The service is great & you can watch the chefs cook your food as you dine. I had gotten the chicken with sundried tomato sauce, which was phenomenal. We also shared the burrata, & my family got different meals like the gnocchi, & everyone loved their meals. The cappuccino was fantastic, too. It's also fairly quiet, which was a nice change of pace considering a lot of the last restaurants we visited were louder.View more

It's all about the food, or the wine, or the friendly service, or the tiramisu...I just can't decide. What a wonderful evening with Mario & crew, from the arancini & meatballs to the tuna & beef ravioli entrees; enhanced with a lovely Zinfandel & topped off with house made tiramisu.View more

Ideal place to go with your partner, the pastas are incredible & the customer service is excellent. I went a month ago & i was served by a very nice waiter, a Latin boy with short black hair, I think he is Peruvian, he was very kind to me, therefore I give the restaurant 5 stars for him.View more

I had the pleasure of dining at Salumi Vino with a few friends, & it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant's warm & inviting ambiance made it the perfect spot for our gathering. We indulged in various pasta dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was the eggplant parmigiano & the short rib risotto-both were perfectly cooked & bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly & attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Mario, the owner, made us feel like part of the family. If you're in Montreal & craving authentic Italian food, Salumi Vino is a must-visit.View more
My family enjoyed an excellent meal at this classic Italian restaurant. The service was impeccable (Daniel) & owner Mario was a pleasure to talk to. The meatballs & amazing red sauce were fantastic. The Pappardelle Boscaiolo doesn't disappoint with black truffles & mushrooms. Homemade pasta makes every dish stand out with superb flavor. The wine list is impressive & makes pairing dishes very easy. Leave room for the tiramisu.View more
