Lovely afternoon tea experience. Staff was incredibly friendly, & the bites were wonderful. We were offered refills on scones which were excellent & fresh out of the oven, & the scone toppings flight was a wonderful twist. Reasonably priced. Will definitely return.
If you're looking for a lovely afternoon tea in Montreal, then you've definitely come to the right place, rest assured you will not be disappointed at all, let's start:
1. We were served first with lovely fluffy scones & a selection from a variety of teas (I took apple pie, she took cream of Earl Grey).They also have gluten free scones which was appreciated (notify them when making reservations). The choice of 6 toppings (butter, cream, triple berry jam, marmalade jam, bourbon caramel, & lemon curd). EVERYTHING was delicious. We could have asked for more, but we saved space for the savoury round coming up next.
2. We had each gluten free selection & non-gluten free, it had: first layer: salmon quiches; Second layer: cucumber sandwiches, each sandwiches; Third layer: cheese cakes, shortbread cookie, cookie cake, butter tarts, & fresh fruit. Everything was fresh & we especially loved the cheese cakes.
3. We were so full & satisfied. Definitely, this will become a tradition for us to come to this place.
4. The staff were so personable & took time to chat with us, they were so friendly & welcoming & offered us the gluten free goodies to take home.

Adorable little place with delicious food. We got the afternoon tea service, which came with a scone, 3 tea sandwiches, 2 phyllo cups & an assortment of desserts each. The food was very well made & the tea selection was amazing. The scones were particularly amazing, soft & moist.
Afternoon tea is only served after 12h30, so make sure to make a reservation since it is quite small.
J'y suis allée avec mon fils & ma mère pour le thé & goûté, une expérience à refaire, le service parfait, les scones absolument délicieux, les sandwiches desserts tout autant. Le prix très abordable. Je vous le conseille
The tea flavors here are delightful. It's quite small so I suggest reserving. Scones were delicious & the people working there are nice. Very laidback atmosphere.
My friends introduced me to this place, & told me they have some of the best house-baked scones in Montreal. I agree 100% with them. Top selection of teas, delicious desserts, superb service. We had a lovely meal at the Gryphon D'Or Tea Room & I will definitely come back.

Toujours aussi délicieux. Réservez pour le high tea. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Endroit chaleureux & enveloppant. Scones, thé & tartinades maison délicieux. Service délicat & attentionné.
What a nice experience! The scones are to die for & especially with the homemade caramel! They have a nice selection of teas. The service is great & friendly. I highly recommend!

The scones are the best that I have had in Montreal. They also have a variety of very good teas to go with. The only drawback is the place itself. It is a bit rundown & smelly & needs an upgrade
Wow my friend & I were pleasantly surprised by this place. The quality of the fresh products (scones & varieties of teas), incredible service with very nice waitresses. Everything is homemade!! It's our first time but not the last.
Such a cute place for afternoon tea! The staff is so kind, & the portions are generous. The ambiance is cozy & perfect for a relaxing afternoon with friends. The selection of teas is great, & the desserts are absolutely delicious (scones are amazing!!). Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a lovely afternoon treat!
& this is how a perfect piping hot Scone should be accompanied with - Home made condiments, each adding its own distinct flavor to the scones . Team it up with a'Vanilla earl gray tea" & you are instantly transported to the lanes of the British high tea ambience! Not a fancy over the top place. But this is how it's supposed to be - calm & quiet aptly guided by the wonderful hosts :)
I visited this cozy, vibrant tea room with my two daughters for some afternoon tea. We got a warm welcome from this gentleman (apologies for not remembering your name) along with Donna, who came to check up on us a few times to make sure the food was upto our tastes & according to our dietary restrictions (no pork & alcohol). We probably had the best scones here after England! The spread for their afternoon was aesthetically pleasing & sufficient for 5-6 people. Donna sent us home with complimentary freshly baked scones! The whole dining experience was very enjoyable, & they made us feel right at home. We will be returning soon! Thank you to the team of Gryphon d'Or for delivering an exceptional service!

What a beautiful, friendly, & delightful place to eat! The staff were so accommodating to my family, including my children, & genuinely care about your experience. Everything tasted wonderful, the sandwiches, soup, salad, scones with different toppings, & dessert. You may need a reservation to eat but it is truly a must see experience.
Simply wow, definitely on the "must come back" list. The meatloaf scone was delicious & same for the beef & barley soup, finishing with the desserts that were amazing & all of it for such a great price.
