Across reviews, Salle Climatisée is described as a tiny, intimate, and welcoming dining room where warm, attentive service accompanies inventive, seasonally driven dishes that balance casual charm with refined technique; standout items include leek preparations, beef tartare, halibut, and a memorable carrot pudding, with many guests appreciating half portions for solo dining and the lively bar side atmosphere that enhances the experience; the menu changes with local produce, the wine list is thoughtful, and while prices are on the higher side, most reviewers call the visit rewarding, often planning ahead for reservations given the very small space and calling Salle Climatisée a must visit and a standout in Montreal.
I've been here twice, the first was was mind blowing. The second time I went it was a different menu, however it was still delicious. I'm always blown away by the sauces. My favorite dishes so far have been bigorneaux, pot & oseille, I could eat this every day of the week & the pork with the sauce of chasseur was insane. The pork itself was good but the sauce was on a different level.

Excellent food & service. Menu changes often based on local availability. Pictured here is a snow crab & radish salad, cucumber salad, halibut, & chicken. We will definitely be back. It's a small restaurant so try to book in advance if it's a weekend! The chefs & the servers were great.
Great experience-felt like a friend was hosting us for a cozy dinner filled with delicious food.
The service was genuinely warm & attentive, which, to me, is what makes a place stand out & makes you want to come back just to relive it all over again.
We shared all the dishes family-style, & each one had something unique to offer. My favorites were definitely the beef tartare & the fish-both were packed with flavor & beautifully done.
Been many times, always incredible. Summer menu is perfection. I think about those tomatoes often. I think it might be my favourite restaurant in the world.

5 stars on everything. The service was fantastic (thanks for the shot of Amaro at the end of the meal, chef!). The food was creative & delicious. The wine choices excellent & the vibe immaculate. Don't leave without trying the pork & the sticky carrot pudding.
Wow, expectations were high from all the positive coverage but we enjoyed our first experience even more than we could have imagined! Everything was perfect. Warm, attentive service. Great wine recommendation. Each dish was simple but creative, unusual & really flavorful. The leeks in vinaigrette are a revelation. Sticky pudding possibly the best ever, & we've tried a lot! Tiny but intimate space, can't wait to go back. (Not your spot if you like to start your evening with a beer, though. Only one, a bottled import, available. Not really any cocktails or digestifs either. But a vast by-the-glass wine selection ($15-$20 per generous pour) is curated to the menu to make up for this)
Salle Climatisee coaxes incredible flavor from the simplest ingredients. I've had great tartare, pork chops, & char, & their vegetables really shine. The wine list is excellent - focused on natural wines while being very approachable, & they put a lot of thought into helping you make a selection. Most of all, the entire crew is awesome, & the service & vibe are sublime. There isn't another restaurant I'd rather dine in.
Had a fantastic time both times I've been here. The food is amazing, & everyone who works there was so friendly & cool! I think my favorite dishes are the vegetables - had wonderful cabbage, parsnips & leeks last time. This place is a gem!

Nice restaurant. BUT if go too late, they can give the shitty piece of meat. 90 % fat & 10% meat. I know that the lamb can be fat, but not that Much & at that Price. Be real !
Great service & wine recommendations. Beef tartare was amazing. Cabbage was the best cabbage I've ever had, really the ideal way to cook it. Chicken & clams was good, mostly because of the broth. I didn't feel like the gigantes beans added anything. The carrot cake sticky toffee pudding hybrid had this weird salty buttery taste to it that wasn't the best. The gentiane spritz recommended as a starter was refreshing.
Tiny little place. Bar seats are fantastic, you get to watch the 3-man show that is the kitchen. Every dish served up was incredible & thoughtful; we picked two & took two suggestions. Portions were more than reasonable - we were almost too full for dessert, but very glad that we didn't opt out! Service is kind, generous with bread, quick - everything was perfection. $70pp pre-tip.
Best restaurant in Montreal. Very candid environment with good quality simple ingredients. I have been stopping by here every time I visit Montreal. Food: incredible, we got the beef tongue, mushrooms, beef tartare, beet salad & sticky pudding Atmosphere: candid & homely Service: very good
Second time dining here & even better than I could have remembered. Just let the staff take the wheel & order for you & you'll have an incredible night :)
