I keep on going & not buying. First because I did not know it was cash only, after because there is little choice in prepared meals & it does not look all that fresh.
Plenty of frozen pasta & creamy pastries. Maybe those are good, if that is what you are looking for. They are open 24/7...
Very good breads & pastries, only complaint is that this establishment is cash only
My go to for any pastry, pizza, pizza dough. Love this place so much. Cash only.
Really good tasty pastries & a wide selection of italian products. I like their coffee as well! Ps: This is a cash only business, so make sure to bring cash or you can withdrawal from their ATMS where the fee is inly 1.50
First time here. My girlfriend raved about it but maybe it was just a bad day. 1. Ordered two sandwiches. They took forever to make them. They put brown, soggy dead lettuce in it (wow) & it was wrapped poorly in Saran wrap instead of wax paper. 2. Pastries were dry & didn't have much flavor, maybe it's because it was Saturday afternoon, like I said I don't know because it's my first time. 3. Service was slow & even after heating up certain foods it was still cold once we received them. Overall not worth the money, & it's cash only.
If you're craving authentic Italian food, this local Italian shop is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air, & the sight of handmade pastas & desserts is irresistible. Their selection of breads is perfect. The pasta options are impressive too-perfect for a quick homemade dinner or to stock up for the week. The shop also offers a variety of food to go, from delicious lasagna to freshly made salads, making it an ideal stop if you're in need of a quick, satisfying meal. Don't leave without grabbing one of their house-made desserts-everything from cannoli to tiramisu is on offer, & they're all as delightful as you'd expect from a genuine Italian bakery. Parking is convenient, with a small lot right outside the store, so you won't have to worry about finding a space. Just a heads-up-they only accept cash, but there's an ATM inside for your convenience if you forget. The cash-only policy might be a bit old-school, but it adds to the authentic, neighborhood feel of the place. Overall, it's a hidden gem for lovers of Italian cuisine, offering a little bit of everything with quality that's hard to match.
Do note that Salerno's is Cash Only! They have an ATM on site that will charge you $1.50, or worse yet crash when you're trying to use it, so better to come prepared with your own money. With that out of the way, Salerno's is a cute Bakery/Pastry shop mixed with a little corner store. It states that it's open 7 days a week, 24h a day, but I ended up going on a weekend around 3pm. I heard their donuts were good, so that's what I wanted to try, but there were so many pastries & cakes on display that I was swayed into trying a few different things. The staff member that served me didn't know the names of the mini pastries on display, but was able to help me in picking out what I wanted by looking around the counter & jostling the tray. I cannot recommend the mini pastries though, because most of them were stale or hard, & the majority of the ones I tried tasted the same. The worst of the bunch is the mini square with green, yellow, & pink cake. That was hard like a rock. I also tried two donuts they had on top, despite some fruit flies landing on a few & sampling the sweet themselves. The dough was very tender, but the dip on top of the donut tasted the same, whether it was the maple or the chocolate dip. However, it was a nice treat & not overly sweet. Altogether, my visit to Salerno's only set me back $20, which is decent for everything I got! Despite a few things here & there, like stale pastries or flies around the food, I will definitely go back because they have so many options & are decently priced.
Pastries were good! Only cash accepted. Price: we chose 5 small cakes for 27$.
Average looking. Average staff. Does not take card. Cash ONLY. & the ATM will charge you additional money to withdraw. Overall just average quality of cakes & pastries as well
Nice place with lots of options, from cannoli, lobster tails to cakes. They only accept cash & have a debit machine in the store so it's handy. I found the cookies a little overpriced. The caramel pecan cake at $7 is a great bargain there. Made with regular ingredients without a long list of preservatives, it has the perfect sort of buttery coffee cake texture.
Amazing food & great service!!! The cashiers are very polite & make sure you get everything you asked for. Also its opened 24/7 which is awesome.
if you need special cakes for any occasion the girl that makes them makes them look & taste great!
All in all this bakery is the place to go at any time of the day!
