A new culinary discovery in the West Island: Saint Marie Pâtisserie, located in Beaconfield. Their raspberry, orange, & almond croissants are absolutely to die for, & what can we say about the alfajores… they melt in your mouth. They make the best Peruvian's style empanadas in Montreal. The dough is perfectly thin & crispy, & the fillings are exquisite-we've tried the beef, lomo saltado, Seco de Carne ( beef's stew with coriander ) , & Swiss chard with cheese varieties, each one more delicious than the last. They also make meat lasagnas, which are super delicious. Their desserts are a delight for the eyes & absolutely perfect on the palate. Everything we've tried over three visits has a homemade flavor & is prepared with lots of love & attention to every detail. Most importantly, Romy & her family's kindness & personalized service are remarkable-they're adorable, & make you feel right at home. 200% recommended, & we'll be back time & time again to try all their delicacies.
Adorable local business. Stop by for a coffee with a croissant (raspberry or chocolate too), 5-star carrot cake, or brownie that my son loved. They have tables & an impressive looking professional coffee machine. This is a bakery, so you can pick up bread, empanadas with many flavors & some homemade frozen dishes.
Best Panadería on the West Island! I went for the first time on Thursday afternoon & was so charmed by the look, feel, smell & service. The owners were kind & welcoming. We left with some empanadas, Vanilla Tres Leches & a chocolate fudge lava-type cake. The empanadas are generously filled, taste lovely with a perfect shell & texture! Tres Leches is my husband's favourite dessert & he said it was authentic & delicious! The chocolate fudge cake was absolutely divine! I 💯 recommend this Panadería, so many lovely flavours to discover. Can't wait for my next visit!
This little café is so convenient & close to home. The empanadas are fantastic-I love grabbing a box for gatherings, work, or just to enjoy throughout the week.
My only wish is that they had a bit more variety in their food selection, but the empanadas alone make it worth visiting. Definitely a go-to spot for me!
Discovered this new gem while driving by today. Amazing friendly service & great empanadas & alfajores! Will definitely be back
Everything I have tried is delicious & it never disappoints. The croissants & pains au chocolat are the real deal. The alfajores & the empanadas are to die for… The baguettes … The lemon pie … Sweet or savoury…everything is delicious. & they are a family business always super kind. Definitely a place to save in you must to go
Not only were they able to take a cake order last minute, but it was the best & freshest strawberry shortcake my family ever had! Great service!!
I swear thats the best bakery I've ever tried. Amazing products with a lot of ingredients inside & very very tasty. I wish owner all the best & keep doing that quality as it is. Thank you very much
B-E-S-T croissants in the West Island. Really. You taste the butter. The'tres leches' cake is fantastic! We always get empanadas to have for lunch or parties. The lasagnas & quiches are excellent. Overall, an amazing bakery. (Did I mentioned they have fresh bread coming out of the oven all day?)
Their raspberry croissants are to die for. This place is a true local gem!
My husband & I visited this place while visiting Montreal & we're so glad we did!! The man at the front helping us was very personable & generous - he gave us fresh beef empanadas & fresh alfajores to sample which were a hit! The cheese & mushroom empanada is delicious & the almond cookies melt in your mouth. Everything is baked in-house & café has a homely feel to it. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!!
