We had lunch buffet here & it was a nice, quick, tasty meal. You have staples like butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chickpeas, beef curry. The quality isn't as good as the order menu, but I wouldn't expect it to be. The naan bread here is so much better than the Dorval location à la carte version. Not charred to bitterness with good taste & a hint of spice.Voir plus
Tried takeout for the 1st time. Excellent service. Ready in 20 minutes as promised. Food was delicious as always. Good-sized portions with portions for the main course large enough to satisfy even a healthy appetite. Prices remain reasonable. The Vegetable Pakoras were crispy & very tasty, the Butter Chicken was creamy with loads of chicken & enough sauce, the Naan bread was fluffy & buttery, & the Gulab Jamoon was a sweet finish for dessert. Also recommend the Mango Lassi.
Prices are very reasonable & the food is very good! The butter chicken with naan was great.Voir plus
Excellent - the service, the food & the ambience were all top notch. Lost a star on the butter chicken which I found to be a bit sweeter than I remember.
Take out.
If you're used to Indian food, you will not like this place. The butter chicken was in a tomato sauce , very bland & not at all spicy as requested . The shrimps are not 16-20 as stated... They were tiny & very over-cooked. The lentil dish was very bland as well. We had to add sauce from our fridge to make it better.
The service upon pick-up was terrible.
Never going again.
I had high expectation & I was a little disappointed. Not because of anything they did, or didn't do.
I was hoping for vegetarian dishes. There was a wonderful variety of dishes. Everything smelled amazing.
The only criticism I have is that everything was too spicy, as in the heat, not the flavours. The heat was a single & slightly camouflaging note across most dishes, except the butter chicken, which tasted beautifully buttery. If you are not a fan of spicy heat, this place isn't for you.
The staff were friendly & attentive. The atmosphere is fine.
We went for a late lunch & they were already getting ready for a busy evening with a full house.
I believe the diner menu may be different.
I think this is a place that requires another visit to see if it's different or consistently spicy.
We had an excellent dinner at Sahib. We ordered the appetizer sampler which was delicious. We also ordered samosas, which were ok. For the main course, we ordered a variety of dishes to share: chili paneer, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, lamb korma, rice & naan bread. Although the tandoori chicken was dry, everything else was wonderful: seasoned & cooked to perfection. The mixture of flavours is always amazing at Sahib. The service was also very good, even though there was a large group celebrating a birthday.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It might seem pricey for Indian food, but the quality is great.
I've been there for their lunch buffet twice in a week as the buffet spread is quite decent. With our favorites like butter chicken, Tandoori chicken & samosa, it was hard to go wrong. However, I was surprised while going through my receipts that I was actually charged differently on these 2 occasions for the same number of people . Their charging method is suspect.
I've never visited this restaurant as I've always had delivery, but the food here is really good. The prices aren't bad so I have had an assortment of dishes from this restaurant e.g Lamb Vindaloo, Fish Korma, many tandoori dishes & my son who could eat nothing but Butter Chicken swears that Sahib makes the best Butter Chicken.
I must admit, I'm not an expert in Indian cuisine, but I can tell you that I truly enjoyed my CHICKEN VINDALOO last night. The chicken was very tender & the sauce was spiced just right. I took my girlfriend here & it was her first time trying Indian cuisine so the waiter suggested she go with the famous "butter chicken". She was not disappointed & she actually loved it. We will certainly be going back here !!
