I've been a huge fan of this spot since they were at Jean-Talon Market, & I'm so happy to visit them at their new home on St-Zotique! Roxy Focaccia is hands-down the gold standard for Italian sandwiches in the city.
The Bread:
Their homemade focaccia is incredible-super light & airy with a perfectly crispy crust. It's fresh, artisanal, & clearly made with love.
What to Order:
• Mort de Femme: This is their signature for a reason! The combination of Swiss cheese & thick layers of fresh turkey salami is great, but the pistachio cream is the real game-changer. It adds a unique savory-sweet depth that you won't find anywhere else. Highly recommended!
• Spring Special (Double Cheese): If you love bold flavors, go for this one. The rich goat cheese paired with their secret spicy tomato jam creates a flavor explosion in every bite.
Good to Know:
• Price: Very reasonable for the quality, usually between $17-$19.
• Location: They are now located at 383 St-Zotique (near the corner of St-Denis).
• Pro Tip: Look for the small'semi-basement' entrance. Don't confuse it with Lune (the restaurant on the corner with the wine glasses)-Roxy is the cozy spot just a few steps down!
Montrealers truly know good food, & this place is proof. It's fresh, healthy, & incredibly satisfying. Don't miss out!
Fresh & delicious sandwiches, friendly staff, overall amazing cozy experience! Highly recommend trying this place, I'm already thinking of my next sandwich.
Came here tonight with a small group & we all absolutely loved this place.
Service: second to none. These people are incredibly friendly & just give off positive vibes. We were greeted immediately & they helped us navigate the menu & make our choices. They made us feel at home, & we got our food within minutes.
Food: did not disappoint. The sandwiches are stacked & packed with flavor. We had the Morta di Famm & the Bordello. Both were delicious, with the Morta di Famm coming out on top for us as the highlight with the pistachio cream & straciatella. The marriage of flavors along with the texture of the focaccia is just straight up heaven. Well done.
Vibe: despite being small, the vertical space makes it feel roomy & adds to the atmosphere.
Overall, 9.5/10 for me, will definitely be back, & next time it will be with a large group on my next MTL Flavor Quest food tour!
Great atmosphere, friendly & welcoming staff & most importantly decadent sandwiches!! Highly recommend
One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! Foccacia is nice & crispy, all the ingredients are fresh & delicious. The space is beautiful, great service, amazing natural light.
Absolutely outstanding sandwiches, possibly the best my wife or I have ever had! The mortadella sandwich with pistachio pesto & buffalo mozzarella was particularly amazing. Great service as well, we highly recommend a visit!
I have been looking forward to trying their sandwiches after seeing them on social media for a few months. It did not disappoint!
The staff was super nice & friendly. The atmosphere was cozy & cute. The sandwiches came out fairly quickly. We tried the mort de famm sandwich which had a nice creamy & crunchy taste. The campania sandwich was very fresh with the tomato & balsamic glaze. The focaccia was fresh & soft. The seating indoor was rather limited however so I wouldn't suggest going in a group of more than 2.
I stopped here yesterday for lunch & it was by far one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The focaccia was unreal. 10/10 Recommend. I will be going back when I visit Montreal come summer time!
Wonderful sandwiches is in the lower level so keep your eyes peeled. Some.of the best Focaccia. & the ingredients ate freshly prepared.
My favourite place to be. The best focaccia sandwiches & the best people 🫶
Excellent food & even better service! The sandwiches were packed with flavor & the coffee was spot on. Huge shoutout to the amazing staff for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back soon
The focaccia is legit! Been 3 times now & the sandwiches have been consistently beautiful, & they taste as good as they look. Delicious soup & salad too. The vibe in there is cool & friendly, it's a neighborhood gem.
Super friendly staff, excellent sandwiches! Crispy focaccia with parmesan sprinkled on top with generous fillings, loved the option to go spicy. Would for sure recommend! The only issue was the seating. Since there was a large party that pushed tables together seated on the banquette, & we were at one of the small two-person stool tables, it was a very tight squeeze for people going past us to get to their tables. Wouldn't recommend large groups eating here..
Roxy Focaccia's new location is such a vibe. Beautiful space, incredible energy, & sandwiches that somehow keep leveling up. The Zia Zucca is a must, easily my current obsession. Great sandwiches, great atmosphere, & solid coffee to top it all off. One of those places you go once & immediately plan your return.
Had such a great experience at roxy!
Everything was amazing & the place is so cozy.
We got two sandwiches, soup, a brownie, & hot chocolate-all delicious. Highly recommend!
This spot serves up an awesome variety of focaccia sandwiches (baked fresh on location) that are well-stuffed & not skimping on the fillings, using local seasonal ingredients. The Zia Zucca was delicious (salami cotto, roasted squash, stracciatela di buffala & spicy honey) The lentil soup, particularly on a cold day, is not to be missed. Will be going back.
Sandwiches are very well crafted. We had the two seasonal ones & will miss them when they leave the menu. The bread is perfect & fresh. The soup was extremely flavourful & pairs well with the focaccia. Will definitely be a regular here!
