We don't live in Montreal so we were excited to go to st Hubert's!!! We were there yrs ago & we absolutely loved it!! It disappointing. Chicken was dry the sauce was like water. Coleslaw was absolutely to die for!!!

The first time in my life I have a club sandwich & the chicken is cold & the fries were reheated. I asked the waitress if it is normal than the chicken is cold & she said of course they keep it in the fridge, she next time order a hot chicken sandwich . Needless to say it was a horrible experience. It's sad because I have been in other locations & the club sandwich was delicious .

You know that one restaurant you always pass by & say,'We've GOT to try that someday'? Well, today was someday! We finally stopped in to check out their famous rotisserie chicken & BBQ ribs, & let me tell you-it was totally worth the wait!

We were seated right away at a nice, clean booth (always a good start). The place is surprisingly spacious-big enough to fit a crowd, but not so noisy that you have to shout over your food. The vibe? Cozy but lively.

Now, onto the food adventure! We went classic & ordered the traditional rotisserie chicken, even though the menu was tempting us with all these new trendy flavors (they're clearly keeping up with the times).

Our server was an absolute gem-friendly, quick, & super patient with us non-French speakers. The menu is fully in French, so if you're like us, keep Google Translate handy or just go with the good ol''point & smile' method. 😂

The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, piping hot & smelling heavenly. The coleslaw was a little on the mild side flavor-wise, but everything else? Chef's kiss. 👌 The poutine was rich, cheesy, & generous in portion (we're talking comfort food heaven here). The chicken was juicy & flavorful, a solid half portion that hit the spot, & those BBQ ribs? Fall-off-the-bone perfection!

Oh, & can we talk about the gravy & dinner rolls? Soft, buttery, & dangerously addictive.

We were this close to ordering dessert because their menu looked divine, but we were just too full. Guess that means we'll have to come back. 😉

⭐ Final verdict: Fantastic food, warm service, cozy atmosphere - definitely a must-try. Next time, dessert's happening!

On of Montreal's best chicken places

After placing my online order for delivery, the restaurant on Taschereau called to say they had run out of fries & asked if I wanted to order a replacement. Two of our meals were ordered with fries, & one with a side of poutine. They offered sweet potatoes or ceaser salad, I chose to replace the fries with Ceaser salads. When the 3 meals arrived, there was no fries, poutine or ceaser salads. The bill came to $65.87 & when I asked for compensation the best they could offer me was $14.75 so I would have paid $51 for a club sandwich, 5 chicken nuggets & a breast of chicken. Not a very satisfying dinner or compensation.

I always enjoy going to St. Huberts. The atmosphere feels comfortable & there are a lot of tables & booths. My favourite thing to order is the chicken pot pie! There was a waitress who worked there (not sure if she is still there) but her name was Stephanie (i think) & she was super nice!

St-hubert has always been one of our favorite. The chicken, bbq sauce & the coleslaw were the reason why we chose St-Hubert. But unfortunately the very important part of our meal, the coleslaw, is no longer eatable. No vinegar, no salt, no taste. I'm wondering if anybody could look into this because for sure the coleslaw was a big part of why we loved our meals. Thanks

Nice place to go for chicken, like the bar area with booths, also passby take out many time & it is relatively fast.

Really disappointed, 46$ before tip for 2 chicken Cesar. Picture shows 2 pieces of bones. Unacceptable, St Hubert degrades in the past couple of years. From "automne" coleslaw that taste nothing, the smallest ribs ever seen, bad service multiple times ans now bones in salad. This is it. Its off the list.
