I've been coming to Portugalia in Montreal for years, & the food is always incredible! Paolo went above & beyond, providing exceptional, attentive, & friendly service that made our visit truly memorable. If you want the best authentic Portuguese chicken cooked on charcoal, this is the place. I can't recommend it enough!

Only gave us 2 pork cutlets instead of 3 after making us buy 3 instead of the 1 we asked for. Watched the cook make 3 while we waited.. & even though we called ahead & showed up when we were told, they only started making our food when we came to pick up.
They also did not give us our sauces that we paid for. Overall ok food but terrible experience.
They have separated sections for take out or dine-in. Although we took take out & decided afterwards to dine in the service was impeccable & the food copious & delicious. The server made the dining room inviting even on an extremely cold day.
This little gem won't disappoint & Paolo, the server was hospitable; incredibly warm & welcoming. The chicken was well seasoned & cooked well. The monster sandwich was as well a great choice.

THIS WAS DELICIOUS!!!! It's all have to say cause there is nothing more to be said ...Yeah that's what i said until they ran out of chicken & next time I went they lost my order so I was wait6 & waiting ...& then waited some more then the time after that they took FOR EVER to make my order then a called & took 30 min to come & pick up my order & waited an other 20 min so guys it looks like you don't need me as a customer there for so long I am not coming back I will go to all the other just as good Portuguese restaurants in walking distance of you
Trust me, you MUST try this place! The sandwich was amazing & the portions are so huge i couldn't finish my panini!! Super tasty & fresh, great charcoal flavour too, not too spicy but has the perfect kick!
The owner & the staff were very friendly, & they made us feel really welcome.
Great food & amazing vibes. Definitely coming back with my friends & family!
This is called Portugalia Poutine Supremo. I asked them to make it especially for me. Instead of fries I asked for portugués roast ball potatoes, curds, sauce, grilled chicken & piri piri sauce supremo!! Excellent!!

The hot sauce tried to steal the spotlight, but it cloaked the true flavor of the charcoal-grilled meats; I recommend skipping it.
The beef was a tad overcooked & a bit dry, but the chicken? Absolutely tender & delicious. Next time, I'm going all-in with an all-chicken version for sure!

Tried this place for the first time today & boy was I ever impressed. The sauces & the portions were phenomenal & Paulo welcomed us in & really made us feel at home. This is going to be a spot I revisit every time I'm in the area, no doubt about that.
A hole-in-the-wall kitchen that turns out an amazing Portuguese style grilled chicken. Much better than what we've found on St Laurent. Be prepared to wait a few minutes. There's a choice of various chicken dinners on the menu or, if you just want a half chicken all by itself, that's also available.
