Impressive portions! The family meal portion & taste was great value for the price. I am impressed. Not many places offer this much in 2026! Ordered online too, I was expecting lower quality & smaller portions. They honestly surprised me & I will definitely save to store & order again! The chicken was tender, skin was crispy, bread & salads were fresh, & I think I got a full 4 pound bag of potatoes hahaha! Not even kidding! How is this even possible!? Loved it! Highly recommend!
An absolutely insane amount of food for a small price. Enough to feed an army. The family meal gets you a full chicken (ours was a little dry), one of their salads (we picked chickpea + feta - delicious!), & probably 20 pounds of fries (!!) I would suggest their roasted potatoes which I took as a side & they were to die for. Overall $32 can get you enough food for easily 6 people.
I'm usually vegetarian but I broke it for this chicken sandwich...& I'll do it again. This was so delicious. The portugese bun with the downright succulent chicken & a lil shmear of mayo?! Simply perfect. The devil is in the details & I saw no evil here. Highly recommend. Potatoes & salads also splendid.
Wonderful Family Business with a heartwarming atmosphere. The owner is absolutely amazing! Pastel de Nata- best in town, poutain (very large portions)- wonderful! It's perfect for a quick dinner, they offer chicken & salads on the side, also portugeese bread. 10/10!

Le meilleur poulet à Montréal, period. Je suis une fidèle cliente de ce petit restaurant portugais depuis mon arrivée ici. La carte est courte mais toutes les propositions sont savoureuses. On vient ici surtout pour leur délicieux poulets bbq rôtis à la broche devant nous qu'on vous offre entier, ou à la coupe de votre choix ou encore en délicieux sandwichs. En accompagnement vous avez leurs célèbres petites pommes de terre & un assortiment de salade aux choix. C'est d'ailleurs ici que j'ai découvert la meilleures salade de macaroni du monde! Les petits pains sont légers, aériens avec leurs croûte bien craquantes, ils fondent en bouche. L'endroit est petit & souvent plein, la majorité des clients viennent pour un take out ou s'installer aux quelques places le long du mur. Pour cette raison la rapidité du service est parfois aléatoire, mais tous les employés sont très polis & gentils. Il y a aussi une petite terrasse ouverte dans la belle période. C'est vraiment un restaurant qui fait partie du patrimoine de la Maine depuis plus d'1/4 de siècle & ça continue. Vous êtes tannés de faire la file pour aller chez Schwartz's? Tournez votre tête juste un peu & rendez vous sans attendre à cette adresse incontournable! À Concesione, Nelson & toute l'équipe, merci pour votre super travail. A little gem in little Portugal. Great sandwiches, simple, traditional, tasty. A variety of salad choices, bread, pastel de Nata. I like to come here when I am really hungry (after the gym), for the food, the affordability, the friendliness, & the typical cosmopolitan St Laurent ambiance. The staff speaks 3 or more languages.
This is a staple on the Main for decades. This place has been producing some of the best ribs, rotisserie chicken, sausage, roasted potatoes as well as sides such as their amazing Cole slaws & salads. This is a restaurant that's not about eating in with table service & such. It's mostly about take out & having a quick bite at the stool counter while people line up to order food. The displays show enticing yummy food while you wait to be served & by the time it's your time to order, you now want a little of everything! I have had everything here, but I have to say that one absolute MUST is their Nata pastry. These are made fresh & usually still warm in their display leaving the pastry crust light & flaky & the filling (an egg custard like filling) smooth & creamy. I doubt you can only eat one - I certainly can't. So to the food. Ribs: large & meaty pork ribs are perfectly cooked & seasoned. Chicken: rotisserie is fantastic juicy & skin nicely crisp. Their chicken sandwich is near perfection for a simple light fluffy fresh bun filled with fresh chicken, allowing the chicken to be the star of the meal & it was fantastic. Roasted potatoes: perfectly seasoned & cooked perfectly such that they are creamy inside & slightly crisp on the outside. Sausage: not overtly hot nor spicy, however as you begin to swallow you can feel a low warm heat develop & it's just right. They are cooked well such that the casing is nice & snappy crisp. It's a very densely packed sausage & very firm. Roasted lamb & pork: scrumptious.
J'avais commandé un quart cuisse & j'ai finalement eu un sandwich. Cependant, j'hésitais entre les 2 & le sandwich était vraiment bon! J'ai trouvé qu'il y aurait pu y avoir un légume ou verdure (salade ou tomate, quelque chose du genre) mais sérieux le goût est vraiment bon! J'ai trouvé les patates rondes plus belles que bonne mais c'est uniquement parce qu'il y a une épice dessus que je n'apprécie pas, quelqu'un qui aime cette épice va les trouver très bonnes!

We had two 1/2 chicken plates with salad & roasted potatoes. The chicken was perfectly cooked but was lacking flavour, it was bland. I asked for spicy sauce after a few bites but that didn't help at all. A bit pricy but I'm okay with that for the chicken plates but 6$ plus tax for 2 naya water bottles when you're dinning inside is not okay. Good service & good music. They also have a little terrasse on the side.
My last dinner on this trip to Montreal & I wanted Portuguese, something almost nonexistent back home (Calgary). I chose this place because it was reasonably close to where I was staying & had good reviews. I got the trio with the roasted pork sandwich, the roasted potatoes & I chose the carrot salad from among six options. The good: the carrot salad was fantastic! The somewhat good: some of the potatoes were melting perfection, but some were dry- since it's these potatoes that are endlessly extolled on here I expected better. They were good, but not great. Same with the sandwich. The meat was tender & tasty but rather meagre. The bread looked gorgeous but was a bit dry.
Ordered lamb steaks (borrejo) & asked for it to be well done, small sized salad & a small baked potato plate. The meat tasted nice & the potato was mouth watering as it's perfectly marinated & melts in the mouth. Their roasted chicken looks a big deal, but I haven't tried it yet. The seats aren't that comfy, the countertop is a bar style. The owner lady & the cashier are sweet & courteous. I recommend this place
Had chicken sandwich, fries, & carrot salad. Love this place. A classic affordable delicious quality Montreal Portuguese rotisserie spot. Also, so friendly!
Absolutely, THE BEST portuguese chicken I’ve had in Montreal! The chicken is cooked to perfection, still juicy af, with a delicious crunchy skin & spicy sauce to top it all off. & their roast potatoes are just the perfect size to be bite sized pockets of flavor & spice. The macaroni salad meant for mellowing your meal, pairs so perfectly well. Overall, one of the best dining experience in general.
& to top of it all off, their De Natas are also 10/10 some of the best desserts ever.
Ordered a family meal from uber eats. The chicken was very good & juicy, but I was extremely disappointed with the sides. The potatoes sent to me seemed old. The tomatoes in the family size salad were not fresh (resembling like they were about to go bad).
