The appetizers were delicious, the rapini bean soup was awesome, my salmon was smooth like butter. I don't think steak is their strength but everything else was delightful. Keep up the great work! We would definitely return.
Definitely going back! Everything on the menu sounds so good, had the salmon tartare appetizer & the Milanese, the pasta with lobster… to die for!
Need to go back & try everything on their menu!
My wife & I celebrated our anniversary here & it was an absolutely amazing experience! Simon, our waiter, was incredibly helpful & friendly, as were all the other staff. The dinner was fantastic from start to finish: our shared appetizer, the delicious gnocchi Gigi, & the decadent lobster ravioli were all highlights. We capped off the meal with a perfect creme brulee. This beautifully designed, modern restaurant comes highly recommended. We'll definitely be back, especially to check out the rooftop terrace next time!
This is my second time here & I can honestly say I absolutely love this place! We sat on the terrace - optimal views & music.
The food was fantastic but a special shout out for the appetizers, they are some of the best I have tried. The octopus salad is right up there to what you can taste in Italy.
2/5 for the general service because although our server was kind & clearly did her best, we waited over 45 minutes for our main (burger). We had to ask her several times for our sharing plates & where our food was. However, when the burger finally came it was wonderful.
An overall great place! I will be returning but hoping not to wait as long for our main meal!
We were a little group of 3 girls, we sat on the terrace. The terrace was really nice & it is covered so you can sit outside even if it's raining. However, the service was horrible. If I could I would give it a 0 star. We were there at around 9 pm. The drinks we ordered took around 20 min for a glass of wine & 30 min for a dirty martini, each came at different times. The calamari appetizer arrived after that & it was cold. The manager was apologizing because they had a mess up with the tables but we never left or moved our table so I don't know why it would affect us. He did give us a second plate of hot calamari which does not seem like a compensation. The bare minimum is to give me what I ordered hot. He did say he was going to provide a digestive at the end to compensate but he never came to do that & we never got them. In addition, at the time we were there, it wasn't really packed, there were many empty tables & people were already eating so really not understandable why it would take so long. The main course came at around 10:30. It was ridiculous to wait all that time for food that was really average, nothing special. We ordered a Ceasar salad with chicken & a mushroom pizza. We wouldn't be going back that's for sure. I'm surprised a restaurant at the Marriott is actually so bad. Not worth the detour!
I do have to mention how in comparison the Terrace Cielo on the 10th floor is amazing! The staff & manager are very friendly, they go out of their way to accommodate you. We were there for a drink before, their drinks are delicious & the ambiance & views are very nice. They even had a DJ. The only negative point is it is not a covered terrace so when it started raining, we left. That's when we went down to the other restaurant.
Nice restaurant located in the Courtyard hotel of the Espace Montmorency.
Food was a hit & miss: y soup was ridiculously small & overpriced! I had exactly 9 spoonfuls of minestrone soup for 11$ which is completely ridiculous. It was served in a huge bowl, as large as a plate but that only contains about 200 ml or so. The soup wasn't even that good, it was pretty basic minestrone soup with mushy veggies & under seasoned broth.
My friend's appetizer was pretty blend. The fried calamaries really looked & tasted like they spent a few hours on the hotplate.
The pasta dishes we received were good: pasta was fresh & tasty so were the sauces but quite heave on the garlic.
Service was great!
We had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere is stunning, & everything is impeccably clean. Food We started with the salmon tartare as an appetizer, followed by the lamb chops for the main course. The portions were generous, & each dish was delicious, cooked to absolute perfection. Drinks The cocktails we ordered were expertly crafted, with the flavors perfectly balanced. Service Our server was fantastic-friendly, attentive, & went above & beyond to accommodate our allergies, ensuring we felt safe & well taken care of. The rooftop terrace adds a special touch, making this spot truly unique. Highly recommend, & we'll definitely be returning!
We first visited Rosso Cielo in mid April for lunch. We were warmly welcomed by gracious staff. Seated by the windows of their gorgeous dining room. The cocktails were very well made! The menu offered many options from appetizers, including the most fantastic Mozzarella di Bufala from a local Quebec producer. The gnocchi were some of the best I've had in a restaurant. We also enjoyed the pizza with a crispy crust & very cheesy, well seasoned calamari, etc! Our second visit took place during the grand opening in June, which truly highlighted the very best of the restaurant. Showcasing the back terrace & rooftop cocktail lounge! The signature cocktails & canapés were abundant! We stayed for supper to try more of the menu items & they were one better than the other. Arancini, sliders, thick cut fries, bresaola focaccia & pasta Bolognese. This inspired my cousin to book her wedding reception at Rosso Cielo which was celebrated this past weekend. What a treat! 115 guests seated on the elegantly decorated terrace. The food & service were wonderful! A variety of canapés, a grazing table featuring so many different bites! An exceptionally curated menu of grilled octopus, fresh tomato sauce pasta with stracciatella. Fillet mignon & lobster tail surf & turf. The midnight sweet table complete with fresh pizza, arancini, ricotta stuffed fritters, Nutella bomboloni & a chocolate fountain! Sunday, we returned for a brunch on the terrace. We were served a selection of eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, pancakes & waffles! Fresh orange juice, viennoiseries & fruit! We then spent the afternoon on the rooftop enjoying cocktails & the incredible views. I could go on & on! A huge thank you to the exceptional staff, that made an effort accommodate our every need. Looking forward to our next visit, as Rosso Cielo has become a family favourite!
We went last Saturday for a birthday supper. The location & concept is phenomenal. Felt like I was downtown Montreal but I wasn't I was in Laval. Nicely set up terrace to dine. Unfortunately the service & food did not hold up. The menu also was lacking. They need something to differentiate themselves. Service wise our waitress was nice but didn't know her menu. When we asked her questions she kept telling us I will go ask & come back to you. This is a hotel so the service needs to be at a certain standard. As for the food, the appetizers were great. The mains however lacked in flavour & 4/6 dishes were brought out cold. This included 2 pasta plates & two steak plates, & the pizza was loaded with olive oil & too much cheese it wasn't very pleasing to the tastebuds. I believe constructive criticism is good so they can fix these points because the place is really one of a kind for Laval.
Wow, Rosso Cielo seriously knows how to make a dinner special! My wife & I were there last night & right from the get-go, it felt like we were in for a treat. The place has a great vibe to it. Appetizers first - they were just amazing! You can really tell they put a lot of love & thought into making them. Now, the main event - the NY steak. It was cooked to perfection, exactly how I wanted it. Juicy, flavorful, & just plain delicious. It's like they knew exactly what I was craving & nailed it! We're totally looking forward to when they open their terrace outside. Can't wait to enjoy cocktails & another great meal under the sky with a terrific view of Laval & Montreal!
Really nice ambiance. I loved the shrimp/calamari appetizer - next time I'm not sharing. LOL. I enjoyed delicious lobster ravioli. My sister enjoyed a pricy Filet mignon with absolutely no regrets on the price after devouring every bite. We will return. BTW - across the street from the metro - & Place Bell.
From appetizers to desserts, Rosso Cielo exceeded all our high expectations. Their wine selection is very well thought out. The service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, & goes above & beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. With their exceptional views, Rosso Cielo strikes the perfect balance between chic & cozy. The ambiance is trendy yet comfortable, making it ideal for intimate dinners or lively gatherings. We will surely return & recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a great dining experience!
