We came across Ripples ice cream shop while walking around town. It was a pleasantly warm afternoon & an ice cream break sounded like the perfect afternoon pick me up. Ripples had a variety of flavors & some were definitely intriguing. We were interested in their rose & kulfi flavors that were unfortunately sold out, but also done for the season. Instead we tried two classics: French vanilla & Chocolate 6x. Both were good & you can taste that they were homemade. No crystals or crunchy bits in this ice cream.
There's a counter you can sit at if you want to eat inside.
AMAZING!!! So many flavors to choose from. The waffle cone was excellent, & the quality of the ice cream was great. The shop is also very cute. Decent price for the quantity. A perfect place for a summer pit stop.
I was quite impressed with this place, ice cream shops have gotten very pricy but the serving size here was a pleasant surprise. Even the smallest size or the kids size has ample ice cream. The flavours were also very good, they have a wide variety from the standards, some really original ones & some fruity ones. You also have a choice of cones & great service to go along. The location is great as this is one of the more popular areas in Montreal, so you do not need to go far.
An unassuming Montreal icon of handmade ice cream in a range of flavours. My favourite is the Fennirose, a sugary floral delight. Past flavours of the week have been vintage classic Tiger Tail & trendy Vietnamese Coffee. Don't let summer on St.-Laurent pass by without grabbing a sugar cone here, at least once.
Amazing taste of the ice cream 🍦
Friendly staff
Definitely visit again, I came by just looking on Google maps
Great stop for ice cream. Had a vanilla dip & the family went for the sorbet. Nice to have non dairy options for them.
Seriously the best ice cream shop! They have flavours you can't find anywhere else. Try the Halva ice cream….it is delicious.
If i could give 100 stars i would.... best coconut ice cream i ever had & some of the bes tpeople.
Very friendly staffs. Amazing ice cream selections & flavors. They have one of the best ice cream I ever had. The size of the large ice cream is humongous. It is literally 2x the size comparing to a VT ice cream factory store name B&J.
Ripples in Montreal is a must-visit for ice cream lovers, known for its homemade, creamy textures & unique flavors like Kulfi, Halvah, & the famous Chocolate 6x. With over 30 options, including sorbets & frozen yogurt, it's a local favorite since 1984. Portions are generous, & the quality is consistently excellent.
Ripples is hands down my favorite ice cream place for years. Too bad they jacked up their prices by 50% over the past 3 years: from 3.89 for a petit deluxe now I'm paying over 6$ what is that
From Toronto. Spent a month in Montreal. Went multiple times. Frozen yogurt is amazing. Love that they also have soft & hard ice cream. THE BISCOFF ICE CREAM *DROOL*
Long time customer, no summer is complete without ripples ice cream! Desserts were amazing as usual & service was absolutely lovely' as well as efficient! We got lots of great recommendations & service with a smile!
This place was amazing!! It had awesome homemade ice cream that had such creamy & nice flavors. If you go I would bet the salted caramel & the 6x chocolate. I thought the chocolate was going to be too rich but it wasn't. It was delicious
