Review Summary

Overall the reviews describe Ripples as a favorite Montreal ice cream spot known for homemade, creamy textures and a wide, inventive flavor lineup that includes Kulfi, Halva, Ginger, and a floral fennel-rose option, along with classics like French vanilla and Chocolate X, plus sorbets and non dairy choices. The shop is noted for generous portions, a cute vibe, cleanliness, and friendly service, with seating at a counter inside for casual tasting. People praise the quality and balance of flavors, the absence of ice crystals or crunch, and the sense that the flavors are unique and crafted, even noting some seasonal flavors sold out at times. Several mentions highlight good value for the portion size and a reliable summer pit stop in a busy area, making Ripples a go to for ice cream lovers who appreciate both traditional treats and quirky, craft flavors. While a few reviews mention price increases in recent years, the overall tone remains positive about the ice cream, variety, and experience.

We came across Ripples ice cream shop while walking around town. It was a pleasantly warm afternoon & an ice cream break sounded like the perfect afternoon pick me up. Ripples had a variety of flavors & some were definitely intriguing. We were interested in their rose & kulfi flavors that were unfortunately sold out, but also done for the season. Instead we tried two classics: French vanilla & Chocolate 6x. Both were good & you can taste that they were homemade. No crystals or crunchy bits in this ice cream.
There's a counter you can sit at if you want to eat inside.

AMAZING!!! So many flavors to choose from. The waffle cone was excellent, & the quality of the ice cream was great. The shop is also very cute. Decent price for the quantity. A perfect place for a summer pit stop.

Very friendly staffs. Amazing ice cream selections & flavors. They have one of the best ice cream I ever had. The size of the large ice cream is humongous. It is literally 2x the size comparing to a VT ice cream factory store name B&J.

This place was amazing!! It had awesome homemade ice cream that had such creamy & nice flavors. If you go I would bet the salted caramel & the 6x chocolate. I thought the chocolate was going to be too rich but it wasn't. It was delicious

I loved the "banane arachide" flavor. The staff were quite nice & polite. Although its a small place but the design is catchy.

Small icecream shop with a tons of flavors to choose from. There was only 1 staff on a hot Friday afternoon. There is a big line for icecream so I felt bad for the employee because she has to scoop & take payment for everyone. There are so many flavors, traditional mostly but some unique creative ones. They also serve coffee & slushy. I got the rum raisins & ube white chocolate flavors, which came out over $6. The ube white chocolate was very meh, it is actually taro flavor & not ube, did not get the white chocolate much. Rum raisin was okay, this is a classic that not many places have. The icecream quality is average, actually a bit icy & not very smooth creamy.

Not worth the hype, but I recommend checking it out. They do have quite a few unique flavors. I got Kulfi & I am only rating based on that flavor. I have had better...
