Review Summary

Ripples is widely recognized as a premier destination for handmade, high-quality ice cream in Montreal, celebrated for its extensive variety of both classic and uniquely inventive flavors like Kulfi, Halva, and Fennirose. Visitors consistently praise the generous serving sizes, creamy textures, and the friendly, welcoming nature of the staff. While seating is limited inside the charming shop, the location remains a popular summer staple for locals and tourists alike, offering something for everyone including non-dairy options and refreshing frozen yogurt. Despite occasional sell-outs of popular flavors, the overall experience is highly recommended for those seeking a delicious and memorable treat in a vibrant neighborhood setting.

Absolutely amazing & unique ice cream flavours, including some delicious Indian-inspired options. I tried the 6x Chocolate & Coconut both were fantastic. They had run out of Kulfi when I visited, but that's definitely next on my list to try The staff were also very nice & friendly which made the experience even bette

I stumbled into Ripples almost by accident & left already thinking about when I'd come back - always a good sign.

The Chocolate 6X had been hyped up to me, & it absolutely delivered. Rich, dense, & deeply chocolatey - the kind of scoop that makes you slow down & enjoy every bite.

The Coconut was recommended by the person behind the counter, & it was exactly as described: fresh, not overly sweet, & with a really clean, natural flavor.

Great ice cream, friendly service, & definitely a spot worth returning to.

We came across Ripples ice cream shop while walking around town. It was a pleasantly warm afternoon & an ice cream break sounded like the perfect afternoon pick me up. Ripples had a variety of flavors & some were definitely intriguing. We were interested in their rose & kulfi flavors that were unfortunately sold out, but also done for the season. Instead we tried two classics: French vanilla & Chocolate 6x. Both were good & you can taste that they were homemade. No crystals or crunchy bits in this ice cream.
There's a counter you can sit at if you want to eat inside.

Ripples in Montreal is a must-visit for ice cream lovers, known for its homemade, creamy textures & unique flavors like Kulfi, Halvah, & the famous Chocolate 6x. With over 30 options, including sorbets & frozen yogurt, it's a local favorite since 1984. Portions are generous, & the quality is consistently excellent.

This place was amazing!! It had awesome homemade ice cream that had such creamy & nice flavors. If you go I would bet the salted caramel & the 6x chocolate. I thought the chocolate was going to be too rich but it wasn't. It was delicious

Small icecream shop with a tons of flavors to choose from. There was only 1 staff on a hot Friday afternoon. There is a big line for icecream so I felt bad for the employee because she has to scoop & take payment for everyone. There are so many flavors, traditional mostly but some unique creative ones. They also serve coffee & slushy. I got the rum raisins & ube white chocolate flavors, which came out over $6. The ube white chocolate was very meh, it is actually taro flavor & not ube, did not get the white chocolate much. Rum raisin was okay, this is a classic that not many places have. The icecream quality is average, actually a bit icy & not very smooth creamy.

Cute shop with lots of ice cream flavours. We enjoyed vanilla (extremely creamy but pretty sweet), chocolate 6x (probably their most popular, sooo chocolaty with big chocolate chunks), & cappuccino chip (not so sweet but packs a lot of coffee flavour).
