Resto Végo offers a welcoming, calm, and cozy dining experience in a spacious historic building with multiple seating areas and a sunny terrace. A large pay by weight buffet plus cafe options showcases a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes praised for freshness and flavor. Desserts and coffee are popular finishers, and many diners appreciate the chance to sample a variety while avoiding waste through the weight based pricing. Service is described as friendly and efficient, though a few reviews note that some hot items can be lukewarm and that prices can feel steep to some. The atmosphere remains relaxed and family friendly, making it a reliable spot for solo meals or group outings. Accessibility can be a consideration with stairs to certain areas, but the space and terrace provide comfortable alternatives. Overall the restaurant is celebrated for its creative vegan offerings, generous variety, and good value for money, drawing repeat visits from both locals and visitors.
This is a fantastic spot for a hot & cold buffet. Large variety of vegetarian & vegan dishes clearly lableed in French & English. Lots of dessert options as well. Delicious food all around! Will definitely revisit on our next trip ❤?

I found this spot for my family (8 of us) who are all vegetarian. This was an incredible concept because they have a large buffet with all vegetarian & vegan options!
We were blown away. More cities need places like this!
Everyone had a delicious & filling meal. The ambiance was comfortable & allowed everyone to go back for seconds if needed. You weigh your food & pay accordingly so no waste as well. Topped off with coffee to end the meal.
Have been here twice in as many days & have loved every ounce of what I've eaten (& I've had a lot of ounces in just two visits). Fun, casual ambiance; super friendly staff; a wide range of vegetarian & vegan options across sweet & savory foods. What's not to like?
I loveeee this place! 😍 They have so many vegan options to choose from. The food is very good, especially the sandwiches at the counter which I highly recommend. The BBQ sandwich & the Tex Mex sandwich are my go-to's. What I love the most about this place other than the food is the atmosphere. You'll almost always find a spot to sit at. It's very introvert-friendly & peaceful, if you're looking for a spot to eat by yourself comfortably, this restaurant is a great option. I've also seen plenty of large group gatherings though, so they cater to everyone. Great spot 💚
Both the café & buffet offer an incredible selection of unique vegetarian dishes, many of which I haven't come across anywhere else in the GTA. The variety & flavors are truly remarkable.
As vegetarians, it's often challenging to find such an extensive range of options, especially in a city like Montreal. However, this place stands out by offering an impressive selection, including many vegan dishes that perfectly suit vegetarian preferences.
I wish I could have tried everything, but my appetite had its limits!
I love that Resto Vego exists. Prices are very reasonable, loveee the buffet option (pay per weight). Tons of vegan options. Lots of seating areas/options, big & air-y.
Only cons: hot food is sometimes luke-warm, & service is not always very friendly.
Still, recommended!

While the food is fresh & the variety is great, it's hard to justify coming here more than once a season when there's so many cheaper options in nearby Chinatown. It's rather easy to find vegan/vegetarian dishes there too- most restos have tofu on the menu & the Chinatown jade buffet has an entire section of vegetarian food (which I believe is also vegan).
We didn't try the buffet, only the little cafe & sandwich counter. The chai latte was really good !! We tried the tandoori & the bbq sandwich as well, they were made of marinated tofu. It was quick & very decent, bread was fresh. My only complaint would be that they aren't entirely vegan. Most options are, but they still serve some vegetarian dishes as well.
I love that it is a buffet style; although, it is pay-by-weight. It is a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. The buffet is above while the cafe is below. They always have delicious options. Definitely would recommend!

self serve buffet where you pay by weight. they had the most options for vegan cakes that i've ever seen! couldn't resist getting 4 slices so we could share & try them all, definitely worth a visit for dessert!
This place is special, I'd love to see more places like this! There are two main areas, one for a quick bite or meal, with a great variety of ready-to-go options. Upstairs you find the buffet style restaurant, offering so many delicious options & for a very good price. I'll definitely be revisiting this place regularly.
- 2 options: café or self serve by weight buffet - plenty of sitting spots with different vibes - soup, dessert, cold or hot food - choices of beverage: coffee, tea, juice, water, alcohol - self serve iced water - food was made by caucasian people for causasian people: might be bland
J'y vais au moins 30X par an! C'est mon MUST à Montréal.Je suis végane & il y a énormément d'options sans fromage ni lait ni oeuf! C'est principalement tout végétalien!

Really nice buffet with many vegan & vegetarian options. We went there in the afternoons for our main meal of the day. Lots of variety & healthy plant based protein. Cozy seating up & downstairs, & weather permitting you can sit outside. Also has a separate counter for coffees, teas, treats, wraps, & quick meals.
