Jerk chicken poutine was great as well as the fried chicken/ oxtail combo plate
It's a great place! It's cozy, the staff is very friendly, & the food is delicious. If you want to try something new, inexpensive, & delicious, that is the restaurant for you!
I tried the Jerk Chicken Poutine & it's the best one I've had in the city. 10/10 ratings on that jerk sauce!

Absolute wow! Picked up the oxtail & jerk chicken platters & this place deserves a place for the #1 Caribbean restaurant in Montreal. Will definitely be a returning customer !
I've been thinking about this food ever since I had some weeks ago. I live about 1.5 hours north of Montreal, & this food makes me wish I never moved out of the city. I love Caribbean food. I have tried every spot I've heard of in Montreal. I've loved two restaurants the most. One of them sadly closed down. The other place is this one. I tried the Curry Goat, Jerk Chicken, Roti, Oxtail stew, pineapple tarts, Chow Mein & those awesome donut-like dessert things & they were all excellent. I ordered all this at one time. I had food for days, but it wasn't enough.I can't wait to get back for more food. House of Taste is delicious. Food has great flavour, no fillers, not oily, not overly salty. Taste like home cooking, & makes me miss my mom. The service is genuine & friendly. The owners love what they do, & it shows. Yes, you should eat at this restaurant. No, this is not a fake review.
By far the best oxtail I've had. Food is fresh, well seasonned & cooked perfectly 👌 good portion & a lot of meat, price/ratio/quality on point
Everytime I go, the service is really nice, everyone there is always smiling & nice, the mom, the dad, the sons that I encountered. The food that I got was also nice, but I haven't had much there only the soup & roti. Good place to go for their soup, the chicken soup was good & the I liked her dumplings, they were round & small, though it was a nice spinoff from the usual spinners in soups that I am used to, when my mom would make growing up.👍🏾
I've had the pleasure of trying many dishes at The House of Taste & none of them ever disappoint. The welcome is warm & the smiles plenty! Highly recommend, the best in the city!
