This is the best vegan restaurants we have ever been to (& for reference I've been vegan for 30 years & have been lucky to try a lot of great vegan restaurants all over the world). The food taste like upscale, elevated fine dining vegan food with lovely presentation. This is not your typical vegan junk food with vegan faux meat type of restaurant. Every single dish we tried was amazing & the presentation outstanding. 5 star amazing that I can't stop thinking about it. Their freshly made sourdough focaccia is the best I've ever had & the reason I chose to dine here; the eggplant scallops were scrumptious; the dumplings with peanut butter sauce the ultimate comfort food; the drinks were fantastic with beautifully presented carrot ginger lime juice; & I am seriously regretting that we didn't order dessert. The ambiance is warm & welcoming, & the owner is awesome & down to earth. Next time we are in Montreal, this restaurant will always be on our agenda. Can't wait to dine again!View more

Delicious dinner & dessert with nice tasting notes & gorgeous decor. I appreciated the use of fresh fruits & flowers to provide a feast for the eyes & some tangy garnishes. It was a wonderful option for me trying to eat gluten free & dairy free while traveling. Our waiter was also so friendly & good humored. Highly recommend!View more

Another amazing experience at Tendresse! I rarely go out, but this is the spot I will always choose to support. The staff is incredible-so kind, calm, & attentive. The food is outstanding, with unique flavors & a special touch that makes every dish just right-not too much, just enough, which I truly appreciate. The drinks are fantastic, & the desserts are both original & divine.
Lastly, the ambiance is simply beautiful & cozy. Even when the restaurant is packed, you can still hear yourself talk-a rare gem! The decor, lighting, & plants make this place truly live up to its name: TENDRESSE.

I had the perfect dining experience at Tendresse! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly & attentive staff who immediately made me feel welcome. The service was outstanding throughout the entire meal - the team was knowledgeable, accommodating, & genuinely eager to ensure I had a great experience. the atmosphere is warm & inviting & The menu offered a variety of options, with each dish being very balanced. I started with the dumpling , which was a hit! For the main course, I opted for the risotto, & it was absolutely delicious - fresh, creative, & beautifully presented!The dessert, Amande , was the perfect way to end the meal, light yet indulgent. It's clear that a lot of care & passion goes into every plate. What really sets this place apart is not just the amazing food, but the top-notch service. It's clear that the staff genuinely cares about giving you the best dining experience, & their attention to detail was on point (great wine recommendations!) Will definitely return to try more from their menu!View more

Wow excellent restaurant. The Table Dote offering on Sunday/Monday is very attractive. $29 for appetizer, burger, & dessert. The burger was excellent - tasty patty with great toppings, sauce, & spread. The fries were unbelievably crispy & hot. Good options for non-alcoholic beers too! Really enjoyed it. Would happily return.View more

Had an absolutely amazing meal at Restaurant Tendresse! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, & really delicious food. Had the cauliflower & dumplings - presentation was superb & both were super tasty! Delicious dessert & cocktail, too. Highly recommend, whether vegan or not!View more

Repas excellent ! Nous sommes venus manger ce soir avec ma soeur & deux ami(e)s & nous avons tous était conquis par ce repas 100% vegan (1 seul d'entre nous est végétarien) préparé avec soin par la cheffe Kim. Nous avons bu un thé glacé infusé au citron. En entrée nous avons pris 2 tartare de tomate, 1 tacos & 1 pleurote King. On nous a fait goûter les dumplings qui était juste WOW! En plat nous avons dégustés 2 risotto & 2 mille feuille, puis nous nous sommes partagé le burger à la courge. Tout était vraiment excellent & pour finir le dessert: 3 mousse au chocolat & 1 gâteau à l'huile d'olive & crème de limoncello, de quoi terminer en beauté ! Nous avons était servis par Nicholas qui a était super accueillant & qui a su nous conseiller à merveilles. Nous reviendrons vite! Unfortunatly I freeked out with all the junkies all around did not feel safe. I'm sure the food is still great but when I called 911 about an possible overdose, the clerk did not even know where Métro Beaudry was & yelled at me. _________________________________________________________ SUBLIME experience. From the first call, front of house was very polite & accomodating. When I got there, my table was ready, with good cuteltry, glass ware, real tissu napkings & NOT a plastic chair on site! The menu had to be scanned...not great when you have an old tired phone & there was a small issue with pricing display. The all natural wines & private importation list was on paper. We could not decide which wine, so we where offerd a wine tasting. We all agreed on a bottle of white wine. We then did order 4 dishes to share between our group of 3. We started with the squids (shitake mushroom) & the braised cauliflower, then we had the tortillas & staked patatoes. For dessert we had a chocolate cake with organic Madeira sweet wine. Thanks to front of the house Jeanne & Andy. Let's not forget the artists back of the house also known as the chefs. Memorable experience & highly recommended. Pet friendly too, wouf wouf! That was one amazing meal. The only regret we have after four days in Montreal is not eating at Tendresse more than once! Each dish was special in its own way. Dumplings were great, risotto outstanding, pave amazing, king oyster calamari yummy... Drinks were very well made, & desserts were out of this world. Hard finding enough superlatives for everything we had. Cannot wait to go back.View more

We had a great time at Tendresse! The server was very helpful & the food was great! Beautifully presented dishes made with a unique combination of ingredients. One thing I don't like about "healthy" restaurants is that they often overdo the salt & oil, but I am glad to say that was not the case here! The cocktail menu was also original & well thought out. I lined the personalized customer service such as getting a ginger lemon tea off the menu, or that the espresso which we forgot about & got cold was readily replaced free. Not pictured are the desserts, which were also yummy. Nb the high price per person was because we ordered two dishes per person plus one dessert per person + one drink +/- one coffee at the end. Downside was that it was really loud inside making it hard to hear & we had to talk really loud. I will definitely be back!!View more

via LibroWow, can't say enough about how good this restaurant is. My dad isn't even strictly vegan & he said "this is some of the best food I've ever had" so that's a ringing endorsement. & not overly expensive. About $250 for 3 people which included drinks, starters, mains, & desserts.

As a self described "Vegan Foodie", visiting Montreal on a self declared "Vegan Food Tour", I have a very high standard for what I consider a perfect 10/10. There's a lot of very good vegan places in Montréal (& we tried most of them), some even great, but for the perfect meal look no further than Bistro Tendresse.
My wife & I skipped lunch & went to dinner very hungry so we could sample as much as possible.... We tried & shared 7 different items (3 appetizers, 2 mains & 2 desserts) & the only disappointment was knowing we live too far away to come back frequently... of course, we promptly made reservations for brunch so we could indulge one last time before departing this beautiful city.
