I have to say, the food here is great. but we came in January, & it was -18, & the restaurant was absolutely freezing. I ordered soup merely as a survival measure. literally 5 people in the restaurant were wearing hats & scarves while eating. if you want to come, make sure it is between late april & october.
Came to Montreal for our honeymoon, & randomly had a chance to visit this restaurant. I must first recommend the place for its petit environment with friendly & efficient staff.
I am always a laksa lover, the laksa is great for its broth, & is marvelous for the rice noodle option they had-Thin, chewy, & immersed well in the soup.
For tan tan noodles (or dan dan noodles, whichever you translate), it is considered the best of North America so far based on my wife's opinion (for these 8 years). The proportion is also fair for a single order.
Still, we two skipped lunch, so we ordered the beef noodle soup to wrap up the experience. For how chewy & juicy the beef chunks are, it worth a 5-star itself. The soup is kind of a blend of Taiwanese & some southern Chinese style, which satisfied both our taste buds.
As a result, I am adding another 5 star review to the 600+ others, the place is worth it, & quite a hidden gem in the city. Bon appetit 😋

So delicious, very authentic flavour & the waitress was very nice. The store was nice & clean. Highly recommend the braised beef noodle soup, the beef taste is just perfect
Loved this place. We had wonderful chili & sour soup & Sichuan style dumplings to start, then tasty tofu Laksa & flavorful braised beef noodle soup. Also, an amazing value & very friendly service. 5 stars.
A true gem of Chinese cuisine in Montreal. The beef noodle soup was so flavorful & had tender cuts of beef, & the chili pepper stir fry w/ wide noodles was addictingly spicy. Wish we had more time in the city so we could visit again.

Cutest spot for a nice but casual enough date. We have been back 3 times already! The beef noodle soup is to die for. Excellent quality. Great service ♥️
C'était un véritable délice ! Nous avons pris trois entrées : une soupe aigre-douce, un trio de tofu & des dumplings au boeuf. Ensuite, nous avons dégusté trois plats principaux : une soupe de boeuf braisé aux nouilles, une soupe Laksa au poulet & nouilles de riz avec du lait de coco, & pour finir, un plat de saumon frais flambé, un véritable plaisir pour les yeux en cette soirée de réveillon. Tout était vraiment très bon, voire délicieux. Le menu n'est pas surchargé de propositions, ce qui, à mon avis, garantit la fraîcheur des produits & permet au chef de maîtriser parfaitement ses plats, servis rapidement. N'hésitez surtout pas à essayer ce petit restaurant, qui offre une décoration agréable & une propreté irréprochable, une qualité malheureusement rare à Montréal.
Delicious foods & nice staff. A bit crowded on evenings. The waitress was very busy, but the service was excellent. My top 1 favorite dish was the beef noodle soup, the beef broth was really tasty & we asked for a refill of noodles ( the noodles are unlimited!). The dumplings are good as well. My friends love it so much.
La nourriture est formidable! Absolument rien à dire, les saveurs, la fraîcheur, les textures, juste wow. En plus des prix qui sont très raisonnables. Excellente expérience. La soupe au boeuf braisé est simplement fantastique, à essayer assurément!

This small corner restaurant is homey, delicious, & the staff never stop moving as they attend to the different groups. I had the braised beef & rice, & a small cup of hot & sour soup: perfect for a cold night.
Delicious mushroom & bok choy dumplings & beef noodle soup! The soup portion was a little small for the price. I'd definitely go back for more dumplings!
Excellent restaurant ! Nous nous sommes régalés avec les entrées (gyozas, soupe aigre douce & rouleaux de printemps) & les plats (saumon flambé, nouilles huile piquante & le boeuf super fondant). Excellent rapport qualité prix avec des portions très généreuses !
Je suis agréablement surprise & conquise par se petit resto traditionnel. Les meilleurs dumblings que j'ai mangée. ! La soupe boeuf braisé cher mais excellente. Les rouleaux impériaux végé sont une tuerie ! Je l'ai recommande fortement. Le service est nickel 👌🏾
J'y étais le 7 mai avec un ami, & nous avons été enchantés par l'accueil du personnel & la qualité du souper. C'est un endroit charmant, bien situé, où la serveuse tout particulièrement a été d'une grande sympathie & a rendu cette soirée super agréable. Je recommande vivement !
Je suis allé pour la première fois essayer ce restaurant le 2024-02-22 & j'ai vraiment adoré mon expérience. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'atmosphère & la déco du restaurant. J'ai commandé la soupe de nouilles au boeuf braisé & c'était vraiment délicieux. Mon amie a commandé le saumon flambé, qui a été flambé à notre table, ce que j'ai trouvé impressionnant. Elle a adoré le saumon. Le service était très bon. Je vais revenir, c'est certain!
Incredible restaurant. The dumplings were amazing & very flavourful, the chilli sour soup was great & the chilli beef was amazing. All of this was under 30$. Truly incredible. Would go here every week if i lived in montreal! :)
