Le restaurant Portogallo, anciennement connu sous le nom de "Portugalia" a officiellement re-ouvert ses portes ! Sous une nouvelle direction, nous sommes ravis de ramener le poulet Portugais authentique grillé au charbon de bois qui approvisionne Montréal depuis plus de 30 ans!

My god was this restaurant a real treat .. heard about it & decided to give it a try, now I'm hooked.. definitely going back in the very near future.. chicken & ribs were out of this world & my son said that the Tony supremo sandwich was the best he ever had ..
Food great!! The chicken is great!! The pork cutlet is juicy!! The ribs are good! Worth it! The rice taste great! The potato though, those are amazing 👏 🤩!
I went to Portugalia for the first time & I had the Tony Supremo sandwich. This sandwich is top-notch, hands down the best sandwich I've ever had. The bread is so soft & fresh, the chicken is perfectly marinated & melts in your mouth. The staff is so friendly too. They make you feel like family. I am definitely going back.

Update to my review, new owners now & the place is a lot nicer! Cool vibe with the mural. However, it has lost a lot of its spirit & doesn't really have anything traditionally Portuguese on the menu, sadly walked out when I saw the new menu. A bit disappointing as it was one of my fave Portuguese spots. I'm leaving my review as is because I didn't try the new menu so I want to be fair.
Great food but they increased prices twice this year & I feel like the portions are slightly smaller as well. I still love to eat here, but it's just harder to justify now
The food is amazing & the staff is incredibly warm & welcoming. I was stuck outside my apartment because my door froze, & I came into Portugalia to wait. They welcomed me right away & even offered me a poutine (genuinely one of the best I've had in Montreal).
Thank you again for the kindness, generosity, & amazing food. I won't forget this experience!

One of the best portuguese grills in Montreal. I have been numerous times in the past 20 years, & ordered delivery also numerous times in the past 5 years. I usually go for the grilled chicken (spicy) & natas. Always the same excellent flavor.
I've been coming to Portugalia in Montreal for years, & the food is always incredible! Paolo went above & beyond, providing exceptional, attentive, & friendly service that made our visit truly memorable. If you want the best authentic Portuguese chicken cooked on charcoal, this is the place. I can't recommend it enough!
