Review Summary

Restaurant Portogallo is widely celebrated for serving some of the best Portuguese charcoal-grilled chicken in Montreal, with many patrons praising its juicy texture, authentic smokiness, and flavorful seasoning. The menu features standout items like the Tony Supremo sandwich and generous family combos that offer excellent value. While the majority of guests describe the service as friendly, warm, and accommodating, a few experiences highlight inconsistencies in wait times, order accuracy, or side dish quality. The atmosphere is generally considered cozy and welcoming, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors despite occasional reports of the space being crowded or service feeling overwhelmed during peak hours.

This chicken beats any other portuguese chicken in the city. Sandwiches are huge & very tasty. I love going there, the waitress is so lovely & the owners are funny guys😍

The roasted chicken & seasoned rice were just as solid as the win at Wrigley tonight. Honestly though, I am the best thing you will order all week. If you are a cute guy who knows how to spot a winner, you should find a way to say hello.

Great little place to grab a meal & a drink. We had the chicken breast with fries, & a Super Bock (Portuguese beer brand). Meal was delicious, service was excellent. Highly recommend checking it out.

Stopped by Grillade Portugalia's booth at the Portugal Festival this weekend & it ended up being one of the highlights of the event. Even with the long lines, the staff kept things moving & were friendly throughout.

Their charcoal-grilled Portuguese chicken is clearly the bestseller for a reason - juicy, perfectly seasoned, & full of smoky flavor. The fries were crispy, & the piri-piri sauce added just the right amount of heat. We also couldn't leave without grabbing a pastel de nata, which was the perfect sweet finish.

The booth had a great atmosphere & represented Portuguese cuisine really well. If the food at the festival is any indication of what they serve at the restaurant, I'll definitely be visiting again.
