Le restaurant Portogallo, anciennement connu sous le nom de "Portugalia" a officiellement re-ouvert ses portes ! Sous une nouvelle direction, nous sommes ravis de ramener le poulet Portugais authentique grillé au charbon de bois qui approvisionne Montréal depuis plus de 30 ans!

This place was initially one of the best portugais grill restaurant in plateau & we were used to go there very frequently. But with the ownership change, it became unfortunately a very bad & very expensive place for what you get. There are many other places in a walking distance that offer you really good portugais grilled meat or chicken. Not recommend
I started with the basic chicken sandwich just to get a sense of what they offer. Now I'm ready to try the Tony Supremo-one of their most recommended sandwiches-& it's easy to see why. Unlike the classic, which feels a bit plain with fewer ingredients & no sauce, the Tony Supremo seems much more flavorful & fully loaded.
I also tried the half chicken plate, which came with delicious potatoes soaked in a flavorful sauce, along with a fresh salad.

I've been coming to Portugalia in Montreal for years, & the food is always incredible! Paolo went above & beyond, providing exceptional, attentive, & friendly service that made our visit truly memorable. If you want the best authentic Portuguese chicken cooked on charcoal, this is the place. I can't recommend it enough!

I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is great, honestly the best chicken I've had in Montréal! The customer service is even greater! Such friendly staff!
Craving a hefty, flavorful meat feast at a great price? Your search ends here! Meet the'Le Meat Monster' (CAD$19.99+) - a towering sandwich loaded with tender chicken, juicy beef, & savory lamb.
The hot sauce tried to steal the spotlight, but it cloaked the true flavor of the charcoal-grilled meats; I recommend skipping it.
The beef was a tad overcooked & a bit dry, but the chicken? Absolutely tender & delicious. Next time, I'm going all-in with an all-chicken version for sure!

I love this Portuguese restaurant that specializes in chicken. Great tasting chicken, fresh, well prepared & their'Supremo'
spicy sauce that comes with it, is delicious! Wonderful staff, great service & fast. I always take a whole chicken & ask for'spicy' chicken to go. Just the best! I Highly recommend.
Forget the rest... This is easily the best Portuguese chicken in town. The Tony Supremo sandwich is straight elite. Great value & the owner is just a beauty with great hospitality skills.
Cool small sit down spot. This was the best choice, initially we wanted to eat at ma poulet but we did not want to wait on the long line. So glad we found this restaurant!
Ordered the Demi-demi with rice & salad & the classic poutine. Perfect for two persons & had left overs.
Meats were grilled with flavorful & opted for spicy. Would recommend eating here.

This place is fantastic. The chicken is so flavourful & authentic. They have the best sandwiches, I had the Tony Supremo & I was blown away. I even ordered 2 of them. I was served by Tony (one of the owners) & I have to say he's a fantastic person who makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend!
