Best Haitian Food in town, all the plates are worth trying you won't be disappointed! The place is clean, the portions are great, the food is so delicious. I'm definitely coming back with my whole family.

Not really happy with my visit, it was the first time I've ever came here & for so
e reason my food took 50 min to arrive. I feel like there's way better haitian food in Montreal, especially for their prices.

During my planned trip to Montreal, I had this restaurant on my bucket list, & it did not disappoint! Unfortunately, I live in a state where there are no Haitian restaurants, & having grown up in a city where accessing Haitian food was never an issue, I was really excited to visit this place. I'm so happy to say that it exceeded my expectations!

The decor, the photos, & the menu all clearly showcase that this restaurant is a love letter to Haiti.

To the owner, chef & staff, thank you for creating this amazing spot! I can't wait to return!

Went there for lunch on a Friday & it was quite quiet & comfortable. The restaurant was small & intimate & we ordered a Malta Creole, a ceviche, the chicken wings, some taco-like dish & a special Haitian version of Mac & cheese. Everything tasted delicious & we were pleasantly surprised.

Haitian know good food - & this spot really hit the mark. It's a small but lively place full of good energy. The griot was tender, the acras perfectly crispy & flavorful, & the bowls were generous & filling. The cocktail list was fun, with drinks named after Port-au-Prince neighborhoods & cities. Chef Mike is great, but Anna truly made the whole experience special.
If I had one small note, it would be the beignets - they leaned more toward a donut texture than a traditional marinade. Other than that, everything was on point. We went as a group & everyone loved their dish. I'll definitely be back!

Visiting from out of town, this was suppose to be the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, my guests & I were left disappointed.

Let's start off with the positive, the cocktails were definitely on point! We were all wowed by our selections. The server was amazing, & very attentive.

The food however just did not make the mark. All of the meats with exception of the griyo lacked flavour. From my experience Haitian food is filled with savory tastes. The rice had the right colour's, but definitely needed salt, & a little more finesse with the essence. The food may have followed the process to make it, but it was lacking soul. Are Haitians even cooking the meal?

Safe to say, we probably won't be revisiting anytime soon.

Haitian food is a specialty of Montreal. Besides the north, Haitian restaurants are sparsely peppered around the map, making this place the Haitian gem of St. Henri. Most Haitian restaurants I've dined at are pretty casual & don't have very impressive interiors. This place was an exception to this trend, although it was not a grand space it was decorated with love & had a nice atmosphere. The service was very professional. I really enjoyed my griot & the'makawoni' salad was some of the creamiest macaroni salad I've ever had. But my eyes wouldn't leave my friend's bowl - I really should have opted for that. We tried an appetizer as well that I don't recall the name of (short name, two words) that resembled a Haitian tostada. While the food was satisfying, this does not make it to my Top 3 among the Haitian restaurants I've tried in Montreal so far, some of the hole-in-the wall joints outshone Pikliz. But this is purely comparative, Pikliz is a very enjoyable experience overall especially for those less familiar with Haitian cuisine & would like to get acquainted.

Ordered via Door Dash & wow, the food is crazy good! Griot was tender, the djondjon rice was flavourful & I love their hibiscus & lemonade drink. Yes, the size of the plates might be a bit smaller compared to typical haitian restaurants, but you still get a good quantity of food that has great quality! I will definitely visit & order from this place again & again.

Best best best Haitian food in Montreal! Akim is a very welcoming owner, & makes you feel at home instantaneously. Highly recommend their ceviche, their griot, & their wrap. On top of it, their cocktails are awesome. Love Pikliz !!!

The service was truly exceptional, & the atmosphere was great. The decor was really nice, & most importantly, the griot was amazing! Since it's Haitian food, I have to highlight the griot-it was so tender & not dry at all. I ordered a griot poutine, & it was absolutely delicious. Overall, a great experience!

Overlooked Haitian cuisine place. I was surprised how tasty the dishes were! I went on a Wednesday night, so they were missing some of the menu items. Shrimps 10/10. Overall great experience, from food to service & atmosphere.

The food was absolutely delicious but the portions are far from what is expected from Haitian take out. I got the riz Djion-Djion as an extra for 10 dollars & the portion filled up the container. 15$ chicken for what seem to be half a chicken leg ( 7 tiny pieces). Overall excellent but overpriced for the portions. I probably won't be ordering from this place again.

definitely one of my favorite Haitian restaurants in the city. If you wanna eat from the youth with mama's hands. The vibes are great, music is amazing.

Went here yesterday right before closing & the food was still extremely fresh & delicious. We ordered takeout & sat outside, but the service was pleasant & the ambiance inside seemed nice. I had the bol du griot & my friend had the shrimp wrap & we both really enjoyed our food. It's not the traditional Haitian food you'd get at a casse-croûte style restaurant or a takeout place like what I've had in the US, but I appreciated the freshness of the ingredients & that their menu still offers some traditional options. Can't wait to come back & try some more items on the menu.

Very cute little restaurant in St-Henri, that serves amazing Haitian food. We are very picky when it comes to griyo & this place just nailed it. Their riz collé is absolutely the best! They have great appetizers, we loved the accras & wangs. Don't forget to order the drinks, they are 🔥 The service is very fast & attentive, we loved the staff.

My date was suffering cramps throughout the day, but the food was so good it miraculously cured her! Coupled with a beautiful atmosphere celebrating Haitian culture, from decor to music, & a staff who are polite, thoughtful, & able to crack jokes comfortably, this is a place to remember & return to.
