At Piklìz, our mission is to bring Caribbean flavors to you with love and authenticity. With great respect for this inspiring cultural heritage, we honor it while creatively crafting our menu and working with only the freshest, highest quality foods. We believe that these culinary journeys will contribute to your happiness, one meal at a time.
Reviews portray Piklìz as a warm, intimate spot with attentive service and a vibe that blends Haitian hospitality with a cozy Montreal atmosphere. Dishes such as griot, djondjon rice, pikliz, plantains, and the creole macaroni salad draw frequent praise for bold, well balanced seasoning and tender textures, while banana donuts, accras, and the signature griot poutine are highlighted by several guests. The decor, music, and menu feel like a love letter to Haiti, and drinks and cocktails add a lively touch, with staff going the extra mile to ensure a friendly experience. Many diners say they would return, and some even use it for celebrations or as a go to Haitian option in the city, though a few reviews point out small portions for the price, occasional inconsistency in flavor or execution, and days when meals did not meet expectations. Overall, Piklìz is seen as a strong, memorable choice for Haitian cuisine in Montreal and worth another visit.
Pikliz feels like a neighbourhood restaurant with good food & great service.
On our first visit, the restaurant was full due to a big party (it's a small but comfy space). We asked Anna for a nearby recommendation & she came through with Satay Brothers, which was delicious!
We came back a few nights later, this time with a reservation, & enjoyed a really good meal. We tried a little bit of everything. The standouts for me were the hot sauce (which you can buy), pikliz, djondjon rice (wow!), banana donuts, macawoni, the mango cocktail, & griot.
Anna was a wonderful host & took great care of us! Really loved the music too.

Tasty food, fun visual identity, good vibes. I went in when the restaurant was empty. My food was ready in under five minutes, chicken was nicely seasoned, tender. The rice was perfectly cooked & the sauce was rich without being fatty or overly salty.
Incredible food. We ordered catering for 15 people & everything was ready on time. The food was so tender & all the sauces on the side made everything taste even better. Will definitely come back for some drinks next time.

I've always been curious about what people were eating whenever I passed by Atwater Market, & I finally got the chance to try it! I ordered the BBQ Chicken, which tasted quite similar to jerk chicken, & the hot sauce on top was delicious with a hint of mango. As for the patties, I tried both the codfish & beef-while the beef one was tasty, the fish one had a bit of a strong flavor. The chicken wings were average & could be skipped. The highlight of the meal was definitely the shrimp. It was perfectly coated, fried to a crispy finish, & paired with a fantastic sauce that made it absolutely irresistible. We even ended up ordering a second round of it! Overall, the portions are on the smaller side, more like tapas. Without drinks, it's about $30 per person.
The server & owner were very welcoming & inviting. I was there with 2 vegans: they ordered guava juice, the Accras, the Riz Djondjon (without meat sauce) & the Veggie Pikliz Bowl. I ordered the Riz Colé & gave them a portion before adding chicken sauce & aioli. I also had the Ti Bato & a glass of one of their specialty wines. Everything was wonderful, we were all full! Nice temperature inside, comfortable seating, plus the music was bumping but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other.
Very good little restaurant. The griot melts in your mouth. The shrimps were so flavourful. The aioli sauce they give with the fries was so tasty. Service was great! Music & ambience were really great. It's loud when you first walk in, & it seems cramped because it's such a small place, but once you're seated, the tables have ample space to be comfortable & have a wide variety of plates. Didn't understand why we weren't allowed to buy a Jarritos without buying a taco, but that's just a detail. We like water anyways, which they give you a nice cold bottle of upon arrival. Will definitely return!

I ordered through Uber eats spent 56$ on very little food the guacamole & chips were a sample size & not near enough sauce for the dry griot - I ordered here a year or so ago & the portions were massive they have shrunk massively in size & not price! Maybe I'll give it another chance in person but not ever ordering through Uber to expensive !
Kabrit was dry & tasteless. Shrimp & calamari had no seasoning. The sauces they come with were the same quality than what you would get at a fast food place. Beef feuilleté was as good as what you can get in England. Upside pineapple cake was alright, more cherries than pineapple I find.
The food was A+ . It was made to order so everything was hot, fresh, & tasty 👅. The drinks 🍹 were good - & the shots got us right. Now, let me tell y’all something - those women in the back probably married/wife’s up because they put their foot in the lamb & rice. That rice was moist & chicken was seasoned perfect. Add the side of sauce , it babbbyyy my belly & heart left happy & fulfilled 😂😂😂.
Akim (restaurant owner) was there & he provided exceptional customer service to all patrons. I loved the restaurants ambiance. It gave what it was supposed to give. 💐 to Akim & his team. Instagram/tick tock users the restaurant has lots of backgrounds for photos 😜 . Go support this black owned business.
Don’t be fool with the reviews. One thing the griyo meat was 10/10. However, everything is an extra ( sauce, plantin, macaronis, pikliz) & for half the price I’ve had far better…
The extra for the sauce was ridiculous, I had approx 2 table spoon of sauce.. not enough to coat the meat nor the rice & the rice was not it, not flavourful.
