I Iove a good sweet brunch but this place didn't really deliver. The service was friendly & reliable but the food was very average. The French toast was a bit hard & it was quite expensive compared to other chain brunch spots in Laval. The decor was cool but this place is a bit overhyped.

I have been going to the original l'avenue since 2003 on Mont Royal street, the food used to be fantastic ,delicious & generous, back then they even had a club sandwich so big that If you can finish it you get a second one or a dessert.
I went today to the laval location & was very disappointed the food was tastless, don't bother ordering the omelet which is supposed to be be with feta , it lacks flavor & the omelet is mixed with flour to make it puff up probably to use less eggs. it tastes more bready them what an omelet ( looks large as you will see in the picture but no substance) , the toppings few cucumbers which was supposed to be zucchini & some feta cheese, the filling was minimal ( spinach & mushrooms) & tastes like nothing really.
Potatoes were very dry & again tasteless, tried to dip them in so much ketchup to taste like something . The quantity is more like a sample then a side ( potatoes at the original l'avenue used to almost be the star of the dish, so juicy & flavoursome , not this one ). The only good thing this place has going for it is the nice decor & atmosphere, but that will not bring me back there. The prices are steep, & I wouldn't have minded if the food was as enjoyable as I remembered. I was very disappointed unfortunately .😞
Super bon restaurant pour déjeuner ou diner .Les assiettes copieuses avec un menu différent original .De plus le jour de votre fête votre assiette est gratuite. On vous apporte un pichet d'eau pas besoin de demander .Notre serveuse Chloé super énergique & drôle un service impeccable dans son habit de travail une chienne comme dans les anciennes stations-service. Le tout dans un décor original, même la toilette vaut le détour. Une adresse à retenir c'est sûr qu'on va y retourné.
Second time at this location as I was passing through Laval. Just as good as I remember it to be!
We got the duck eggs benny, & the indecisive in the lemon blueberry pancake as one & strawberry pancake as the second dish. All the food was delicious! We tried the matcha latte & the pistachio latte. From the whipped cream to the potatoes to the lattes. The portions are generous & delicious all around. This was just as good as I remember it 2 years ago. Staff are so kind & patient. Atmosphere is unique as the wall art & decor give a street vibe. Would recommend to anyone looking for a brunch spot!
I've been wanting to try this spot for a while & finally decided to go since we were in the area & it made for a nice birthday brunch. The Laval location has a cozy vibe, the décor is stylish, & the service was warm & attentive.
Food-wise, it was a mixed experience:
- The Indecisive Sticky Toffee Pancake: very sweet, & I could only manage a few bites (3/5). Definitely one for people with a big sweet tooth.
- Classic Benedict: excellent, soft buttery English muffins with ham, egg, & sauce all perfectly balanced. Great texture & taste (4.5/5).
- Potatoes: perfectly seasoned & crisp, easily the standout side (5/5).
- Latte: unfortunately a letdown, felt watered down & lacked depth of flavour (2/5).
I also wanted to try the matcha & strawberry drink on the menu, but it wasn't available, which was a little disappointing.
Overall, despite a few misses, the food was enjoyable & I'd still recommend checking this place out especially for brunch. I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu.

J'ai eu le plaisir de découvrir L'Avenue récemment, & je suis absolument ravi(e) de l'expérience. Le menu est à la fois créatif & savoureux, avec des plats généreux, parfaitement présentés, & pleins de saveurs originales. Mention spéciale pour les brunchs qui sont tout simplement incroyables !
Le service était irréprochable : chaleureux, professionnel, & toujours attentionné, sans être envahissant. On se sent vraiment bien accueilli.
Le décor est unique, à la fois moderne & artistique, avec une touche urbaine très stylée. Chaque détail semble avoir été pensé pour créer une atmosphère à la fois chic & décontractée.
L'ambiance est animée sans être bruyante, parfaite pour un repas entre amis ou en couple. & que dire de l'emplacement ? Idéalement situé au coeur du Saint Martin à laval . c'est facilement accessible & parfait pour flâner dans le quartier avant ou après le repas.🫶🏻🫶🏻👏🏻
J'ai adoré mon expérience dans ce restaurant de déjeuner ! 🥞 La nourriture était tout simplement délicieuse : les plats étaient frais, bien présentés, & les portions généreuses. Mention spéciale pour les oeufs bénédictine & la pain doré trémaso , un vrai régal !
Le service était chaleureux & attentionné. Le personnel est souriant, rapide & à l'écoute, ce qui rend le moment encore plus agréable.
La décoration est très charmante, à la fois moderne & accueillante, avec une ambiance calme & conviviale qui donne envie de prendre son temps. On s'y sent bien dès qu'on entre.
Autre point positif : l'accessibilité. Il y a amplement de stationnement juste à côté du restaurant, ce qui est vraiment pratique, surtout les week-ends.
Bref, une excellente adresse pour bien commencer la journée !

Went there for brunch with my girlfriend & her friends for her birthday. Vibes & decor was vibrant & our waitress was amazing! Service & food were impeccable! I highly recommend the red shakshuka & the detox smoothie. I will definitely go back soon.

One of the best brunches I have ever had! I got the "indecisive" which comes with a sweet & savoury side. The chocolate & pistachio French toast was so delicious, a must try. The decor is also very funky & cool, lots of parking but can get busy!
Cute & trendy. Food was delicious &'most' portions are big (those who order eggs may leave a little hungry - see picture lol). Service was good but in the (almost) 2 hours that we were there (first to arrive at 8am) the waitress only came around to refill the coffee once which was disappointing. It got busy around 9:45am. The decor is funky & so is their menu - the print is loud & psychedelic & overwhelming. One fun aspect of the menu is that they have a page for the'undecided guest' where one can order a mix of everything - a great touch!
En ce temps d'Halloween, on décide de se réunir & d'aller déjeuner pour le 1er dimanche de novembre, d'essayer un nouveau resto. Pour faire changement pourquoi pas un brunch ? Après quelques recherches sur Google, notre groupe de 6 personnes décide d'aller bruncher à l'Avenue. Ambiance (décors & aménagement) intérieur particulière, quelque peut bizarre & s'apprête plus à des diners qu'autre chose mais bien, 3 étoiles sur 5. Après consultation du menu, je me demande en quoi consiste & ou est le brunch ? Je m'informe auprès du serveur. Beaucoup de difficultés en français, il a de la misère à me comprendre & moi aussi j'ai de la difficulté à le comprendre avec son accent à couper aux couteaux, on dirait que l'on ait sur une autre planète. Il m'explique que pour ce restaurant, un brunch c'est le menu & je comprends au diable la tradition du brunch classique occidental du buffet déjeuné dit le brunch du dimanche. Donc pour bruncher chez l'Avenue, 0 étoile sur 5 (impossible & fausse publicité, notre brunch est à l'eau). Leur café est un peut fort, très corsés mais bon mais satisfait beaucoup certaines personnes de notre groupe qui aiment le café fort, 4 étoiles sur 5. Lors de nos commandes, moi & une autre personne demandons avec fèves au lard ? Le serveur nous signale qu'il ne serve pas de fèves au lard pour la raison qu'il n'an vende pas assez à notre grande surprise, pas de fèves au lard pour déjeuner ? Ici, en Amérique de nord, au Canada, au Québec, wow ! C'est comme manger un pâté chinois pour souper pas de pommes de terre. Mais, pour le reste (nourritures de base pour déjeuner) tout est très bien mais, un gros mais, pour un endroit qui se dit quelque peut bio. Pas de fruits avec les plats comme presque partout ailleurs. 4 étoiles sur 5 pour la qualité mais 3 étoiles sur 5 pour la diversification & les inclus. En général, les prix sont abordables ou légèrement aux dessus de la moyenne, 5 étoiles sur 5. Malgré la barrière de la langue, de la communication (très, très mal intégré par certains serveurs), le service est relativement efficace mais très courtois, 4 étoiles sur 5. Note importante. Pas de réservation, donc arrivez tôt. 2 étoiles sur 4. En passant, un brunch traditionnel, lorsqu'il y a vrai brunch réel (pas pour faire semblant), se déroule le dimanche & se planifie vers la fin de l'avant-midi ! & dure toute l'après-midi.

Huge venue with lots of tables available inside & outside. *food: super tasety omlettes, super fluffy pancakes, nice design & new food experience overall! Good food variation: omlettes, pancakes, sandwiches, combo dishes. *Price: around 115$ for two main course & two pancake dishes, which was more than enough for 4 people:))) *venue: lots of room inside & on the patio. Good parking available outside. Interesting & refreshing decoration😎 *Service: very friendly & efficient service even for english speakers😅

Great place for brunch or breakfast if you want to explore new flavors but because of its' popularity, it at times, the lineup can be super long. Place: Open floor plan so noise level can be high, go for a booth if you can. Decor is interesting. Service: The service is awesome, Voula is attentive, friendly & super nice! She made our brunch very enjoyable. Thanks 😊 Food: You can try the regular breakfast but for a truely good experience try the specialties. We had Red Shakshuka, Truffle Duck, Chakchouka & Pecan Pie French Toast (French toast are super big!) PS Try their smoothies Conclusion: You can have a regular breakfast or have an awesome breakfast. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
Crowded place for brunch, not too many options on the menu. Very pricey, but considering the portions, the price is worth it! My friend got the blueberry ricotta cake & she loved it! I had the omelette which was perfect (could have used more cheese, but i may be biased as i love cheese). They had their signature maple syrup which i did not get to try as i did not want to combine the syrup on my plate. The potatoes were perfectly done & warm, & the servers were polite. There is a big parking spot for cars! There was also a wait line however it went quite quickly (as we were two people). The decor & ambiance is very welcoming & cool. Would recommend if you want to have a fancier brunch!
