My family goes to dim sum literally every week. I've eaten in most of the highest rated dim sum places in Vancouver & Toronto. This is not your fancy dim sum plaxe. This is your excellent value with true Cantonese style dim sum fare. Don't expect 5 star customer service as they don't charge like one. Food is ordered by QR code which is original for dim sum. I really like this system as all items come in promptly with no ordering mistakes. They have all the condiments available for a HK style restaurant. Owners have been in the dim sum business for over 2 decades. Imho, must try for people visiting Montreal.
The restaurant serves family-friendly meal portions. Food service was relatively quick, the taste is delicious for Chinese food & the staff was present when needed. You need to ask the waiter for sauces on the side & for water; they serve tea as you settle at your table. The siumai, salt & pepper pork & the crispy noodle cantonese style are my favourite. Also love the noodle rice rolls, & the fried shrimp dumpling ☺️
Been to this place a couple time in the past. Never good. Dim sum taste is soso. Bad customer service. Not allow to be in when you don't have all guest at the time of entry (it wasn't a nice way when they do so). Waitress will rush with the push cart inside the restaurant, makes you feel with an atmosphere of urgency, they don't look carefully for children's around.) Staff never smiles.
Excellent restaurant traditionnel, de généreuse portion & tout est très bon!
Note: This is the perspective from a northerner, friend who was a southerner said it was a great experience & loved the food. The food was okay, but there are definitely dishes that should not have been called what they are. Especially the mapo tofu, a mockery of the dish (but I guess that's understandable since this is more of a dim sum resturant rather than a sichuan resturant). Everything else was okay, the bbq platter was decent, but cold from the start. They don't skimp on portions though. Just not to my taste, I wouldn't pay this much again for this little flavour.
We got here 10am on the dot so no wait at all. Very delicious dim sum - we are from HK & were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the classics!
