Balam propose une expérience culinaire dynamique et raffinée qui transporte les convives dans un décor inspiré de Tulum, alliant esthétique élégante et atmosphère chaleureuse. Le menu met en avant une cuisine mexicaine contemporaine et sophistiquée, avec de nombreux éloges sur la fraîcheur des ingrédients, la qualité des ceviches et la saveur des tacos. Bien que la carte des cocktails soit particulièrement appréciée, l'ambiance est souvent décrite comme énergique, ce qui en fait un lieu idéal pour une sortie festive. Food was truly delicious! Everything we had was way better than expected, very flavorful & intentional. Plate presentation was beautiful, felt very upscale. Wait staff was extremely attentive & friendly. Decor was beautiful, fresh & bright. Location was great, not inside the Royalmount mall, but adjacent & leading out to the parc/courtyard/esplanade area. Definitely not a'mall' vibe. It struck a perfect balance between casual comfort & understated elegance. It was a little loud, but Saturday afternoons through to evenings there is a live DJ event that happens in the courtyard so it is not the reataurant itself that was loud. Other nights & afternoons would be far quieter. We sat on the terrace & therr was a large screen broadcasting the FIFA wold cup games, so it could also be a chill spot to catch the game. But I repeat, the food, it was really exceptional. The entire menu seemed appetizing. I would highly recommend going & look forward to my next visit.
I have to say, this place is worth every penny you spend. The food is outstanding, the ambiance is beautiful, & the service is truly A1.
In my humble opinion, this is the best Mexican food in Montreal. Everything we tried was exceptional. The duck tacos, ribeye tacos, & ceviches were absolutely amazing.
Make sure to save room for dessert you'll be pleasantly surprised. Every dish was prepared with care & packed with flavor.
If you're looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend Balam. Good food, great atmosphere, & memorable moments. Highly recommended!

Balam is one of my favorite spots in Montreal. The ambiance & overall vibe are incredible, creating the perfect atmosphere whether you're there for dinner, drinks, or a night out. The food is absolutely delicious & the attention to detail in both the service & experience really stands out. The live DJ & violin performances add a unique energy that makes every visit memorable. Highly recommend!

From the moment we walked into Balam, we knew we were in for something special. We sat at the bar & were lucky enough to be served by the manager, Nadir, who completely elevated our night. His passion & knowledge were incredible-he even gave us a full demonstration of different kinds of tequila, which was both fun & fascinating.
The energy of the entire team was contagious.not to mention Tamara & Maddy Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, & it made the whole experience feel vibrant & alive. Our drinks were crafted to perfection, & the oysters Nadir served-paired with a smoky mezcal sauce-were hands down the best we've ever had.
The aesthetic of the place is unmatched. With lush decor & ambient lighting, it honestly felt like we'd been transported to Tulum. The music set the perfect vibe, tying everything together for what was truly a flawless evening. Highly recommend Balam for anyone looking for top-tier cocktails, amazing food, & an unforgettable atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!

Balam was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The restaurant was recommended to us by Derrick at RH the rooftop next door, & it couldn't have been a better choice.
As soon as we stepped in, Nizar welcomed us warmly with a big smile that immediately set the tone for the evening. Then Nadir took the experience to another level with a beautiful performance using their essential oils before walking us to our table; such a unique & memorable touch that made us feel truly special.
The food & drinks were absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared & beautifully presented. On top of that, the service was flawless; attentive, friendly, & genuinely 5-star.

Great experience at Balam, even without a reservation. While we had to sit outside, the staff went above & beyond to make us comfortable. Shout-out to the manager who personally adjusted a heat lamp next to our table! That thoughtfulness is a perfect example of their dedication to guest comfort.
The service was on point from our waiter to the manager, checked in genuinely to ensure we had everything we needed. & then there's the food-it was great, perfectly prepared, & absolutely delicious.
Between the incredible attention to detail, the warm & attentive team, & the fantastic meal, Balam is a standout. We will absolutely be back soon, & we're definitely bringing our friends! Highly, highly recommended.
