Chicken biryani - Well seasoned chicken, nicely made rice
Tried two main dishes - both were definitely made from scratch with layers of flavor, but the saltiness of the dish covered up a lot of it.
Be warned that'The nobel' drink has a STRONG star anise / licorice taste but the description doesn't mention this. This was undrinkable for us.
Our server was nice enough but it was a struggle to get his attention.
Considering the other glowing reviews, this may have been an off night. We are also visiting from an area with a large indian population, so our standards may be relatively higher.View more

We had a fantastic time from the moment we walked in, Shaurya & Deekshith were so welcoming, attentive & gave us plenty of recommendations. We had the murg methi malai & chicken tikka masala & they were both delicious with such unique twists. The paratha & naan were fresh & the desserts were wonderful, we were given some gulab jamun on the house as we had never had it before & were interested in trying - such a thoughtful touch from the staff! Decided to try this out as our first restaurant here in MTL & it was FANTASTIC!! Shaurya came outside to greet us & provided us with excellent service throughout our meal. The flavours were amazing & we will definitely come back! We had the butter chicken, chili chicken, garlic naan & a side of rice & the portions were all perfect together. We had an amazing experience at Rendez-Vous Indian Bistro! We ordered online through Uber Eats. Their butter chicken & paneer recipe without onion & garlic were absolutely delicious. The flavors were incredible, & the owner went the extra mile to accommodate our dietary preferences by preparing the paneer dish perfectly. As a delightful surprise, they even complimented the meal with rasmalai, which was the cherry on top! The food was so tasty, & the attention to detail made the experience even better. This is hands down the best Indian cuisine restaurant in Montreal. A must-try for all Indian food lovers! Highly recommend!View more
We went for the non vegetarian thali, the thali's huge, 1 thali serves 2 people easily. All the starters & curries in the thali were very well done. The desserts too. Loved the malai chicken & shrimp curry. Special thanks to Parakram who served us. The chef took time out to come & explain the dishes to us too. We got chicken tikka masala, buttered chicken, & Malabar shrimp curry. It was all delicious. The tikka masala was creamy & seasoned to perfection. We also got garlic & butter naan which was warm & tasty. My only complaint was that the dishes did not come with rice, it had to be ordered separately. I am so happy to have found this place. The food is so delicious & the presentation of the dishes is very well done. We were delighted from beginning to end! Can't wait to come here again & try other dishes. My spouse had the Butter Chicken & he kept saying the chicken itself was very good (a lot of places use only chicken breast). I am vegetarian myself so I asked for a recommendation & got the Paneer Methi Chaman, can't emphasize enough how delicious it was!View more

one of the best butter chicken I've ever eaten! the sauce was really excellent. The only thing I liked a little less was the chicken, since I found it very hard to chew (i feel like it's not even chicken, maybe pork? bc it's was extremely hard). The waitress was very polite & kind. This was my fifth visit to Rendez-vous Bistro, & it never disappoints! I first visited when it had just opened for an office party with over 20 people. Despite the restaurant being on the smaller side, it didn't feel cramped at all, & the staff handled the large group with ease & dedication. As a non-vegetarian, I have tried almost all of their non-veg starters, & each one has been out of this world! The flavors are simply exquisite. From the mains, dishes like goat curry, butter chicken, & palak chicken have consistently stood out - perfectly spiced & absolutely delicious. This time, I went with a few vegetarian friends & sampled most of their veg options. The dahi kebab & veg manchurian starters were just amazing, & in the mains, the brinjal curry & paneer butter masala were mouth-watering. The balance of flavors was spot on. The wait staff, as always, were extremely accommodating & attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Amazing amazing indian restaurant (I've tasted a lot & this is among my top 3 in Montreal). It's a perfect spot for dates but also a night out with friends & family. You can modify the level of spiciness to full enjoy the beautiful aroma of each dishes. I LOVE the paneer dishes & their naans. If you love mutton, go with this dish : kashmiri mutton rista. We ordered Fish Amritsari , Chicken Tikka masala & Methi malai Murgh. All the 3 dishes were excellent & authentic with no color added & quantity was good. The chicken dum biryani was amazing & served in cute serving bowls. Butter Naan were very soft & my son loved them as its his favourite . The manager Shivam who was serving us was extremely courteous & welcoming. It's a very good place for families & very reasonably priced.View more

The chicken & fish appetizers were delicious, followed by a rich & spicy Lal Maas (mutton) & creamy Butter Chicken. We were sceptical because of the good reviews this restaurant got as it only had very good reviews. To be fair, we soon realized the restaurant is really that good ! This is a must if you love north indian food. My girlfriend tried a vegeterian menu which was delicious & I got the butter chicken which was one of the best butter chicken menus I ever ate.
