Li Hui a ouvert l'emplacement de Chinatown en 2010, et un deuxième emplacement au centre-ville peu de temps après. Depuis, ils servent des dumpling chinoises torrides et savoureuses!

We visited Montreal for March break. It happened to be our daughter's birthday. As a huge dumpling fan, my friend told me this was the place to go, & I couldn't agree more. The kids loved tempura shrimp & we had delicious fried & steamed dumplings.
Excellent dumplings, they taste home made & good price. Highly recommend for dumpling fans. We had the soup beef dumplings, the mushroom & cabbage & the dim sum shrimp ones. Cash only tho.
everytime i hear the word dumpling i think of this place. they're amazing. porc & chinese cabbage is the best, my boyfriend loves the shrimp ones too. they're super juicy & the perfect level of oily (not too much, not too dry!) i can eat a whole container of them & never complain.
cash only & there is an atm. small location but you can order takeout (that's what we do). workers always seem a little disgruntled whenever i come pick up my order, but we all have bad days

They only take cash so I usually order on uber/doordash for pick up. Their dumplings are insane, I have a preference for their shrimp dumplings♡ The prices are also really good for what you get. I cant suggest it enough! ^^
I NEVER leave disappointed from this place. This restaurant is a hidden gem, not only do they have student friendly prices but their food is amazing. Our group of 5 where all able to eat till we felt like we where about to POP for only 60$!! Iv tried almost every dumpling they offer & not one of them is bad, my noteable favourites being their xiao long boa with pork & shrimp, amazing! I recommend this place not only to people who want to save money, but people who are genuinely looking for authentic & delicious cuisine.
Whenever I come here I'm never left disappointed. The service is great & everyone there is kind. On the other hand the food is delicious! Now when it comes to the food I ordered 3 things: - Pork & Chives Xiao long baos - Pork & Shrimp Xiao long baos - Pan fried pork & chives dumplings The Xiao long baos (soup dumplings) were outstanding! The pork & chives ones have a light flavour & the soup is so flavourful. I wasn't the biggest fan of soup dumplings before this restaurant. I found that the soup was more greasy somehow. The soup is light & the flavour just burst into your mouth. The pork & shrimp soup dumplings were on another level. If you aren't able to eat shrimp I recommend the pork & chives! The pork & shrimp dumplings had so much flavour. The umami taste that leaves you wanting another one. I love how there is so many different types of dumplings on the menu too. The pan fried dumplings are great as well! You can't go wrong with pan fried dumplings. I'm personally a fan of the chicken pan fried dumplings here but I decided to try the pork ones. The pork & chives are heavy but the crispness of the skin goes so well with the filling. There is also lots of seating & its cash only but they have a atm at the front! If you plan on going here I recommend!!

I used their takeout service during covid & was very satisfied. Recently went there for lunch with a friend & we ordered fried as well as steamed dumplings : shrimp & pork as well as beef & Curry. The shrimp & pork were over fried, which was not the case during covid, & I think it was an exception to the norm. Both orders were delicious.
these dumplings are really so tasty!! we had all of ours boiled, we tried beef, pork & lamb, as well as the shrimp dumplings & the siu mai. everything was just so good!! the beef ones especially. the service was fast & the staff was really nice; it is a really good, cozy family-owned dumpling restaurant!! would definitely come back also, i must say, it is cash only!! but they do have an atm at the front of the restaurant.
My daughter suddenly had a craving for dumplings when his brother was getting a haircut in Chinatown so we decided to try Mai Xiang Yuan. The place was not full when we went in around 12:15 pm but it suddenly became full after 15 minutes.
We ordered the following: (1) Fried Lamb & onion dumplings, (2) Pork, mushroom, & shrimp dumplings, & (3) Pork & shrimp dumplings in soup.
The place may not be fancy looking but the dumplings we had were very savory. We've tried a few of the dumplings place near the area but none got our approval in terms of taste. That's why we were so happy to discover this. As one posted in his review, truly a "diamond in the rough."
The service was great. The staff were all smiling (you can see the people making the dumplings; so, we took the opportunity to see how they prepared our food). The time it took for our order to be served is quite acceptable.
We never had the chance to see/ use the restroom. We were in & out of the place in 30 minutes & we ate 40 dumplings (total). As my daughter simply put it, "HAPPY TUMMY MAMA!"
