The ambiance is perfect as it's dimly lit, & the layout is also super cute with little nooks you can be seated in. The service is one of the best we've ever had in Montreal! Our server Delphine & the rest of the team was super attentive & made us feel accommodated. Not to mention, the Crunchy dessert knocked it out of the park. The tartare was really amazing as well, just super small for the price

We came here to celebrate our engagement & it really exceeded expectations. Our server was Manu (apologize if i spelled your name wrong) & she was amazing & very kind, attentive. Great selection of desserts too. The lamb dish was my favorite.
Great place for date nights!
We already plan on coming back more & bringing our friends with us. Thanks for making our day special!

Ratafia absolutely crushes it! It is so hard to find great vibes, stellar service, & fun, creative food that is vegan-friendly in Montreal, but this place does it flawlessly.

You can really tell they deeply think their menu through. They already have a ton of incredible vegan options built right in, & so many of the dishes that aren't originally vegan can actually be modified to be plant-based, which is amazing. The staff is very attentive & the atmosphere is super fun!

C'était un 10/10 du début à la fin. Camille, notre serveuse, était attentive, professionnelle & vraiment sur la coche tout au long du service.

Nous avons pris le menu dégustation à 70 $ & c'était tout simplement parfait. Plus la soirée avançait, plus chaque service réussissait à surpasser le précédent.

Nous avons aussi eu la chance de découvrir un vin importé d'Autriche, un mélange de Cabernet & de Syrah. Très fruité, riche & absolument délicieux. Camille nous a super bien guidés pendant toute l'expérience, autant pour les plats que pour les accords avec les boissons.

Je recommande définitivement cet endroit!

My husband & I went to Ratafia for my birthday. It was a quiet night but the food & service did not disappoint. We chose the secret menu with the wine pairing for each course. We've been to numerous restaurants around the city, it's the first time we've experienced such a culinary delight. From start to finish, the dishes were presented with gorgeous design & the ingredients danced lovingly on our palates. Chef Magie Marier experiments with bold flavors & textures, it's no surprise she was one of the top contenders in last year's 2025 series' Les Chefs'. Our servers Joannie & Moe were exceptional, attentive to every detail. They were kind & personable, truly making our special evening even more memorable.
We highly recommend this establishment.

Tout était parfait ! Si j'avais pu mettre plus que 5 étoiles, je l'aurai fait.

C'est la 3eme année que nous venons pour la saint Valentin. J'ai toujours été satisfaite mais cette année, mon expérience a surpassée toutes mes attentes ! Notre serveuse, Delphine, a été aux petits soins tout au long de la soirée. Polie, souriante, serviable & attentive à nos « besoins » . Merci encore !

Quant au menu … quel régal ! De l'entrée jusqu'au dessert. On est passées de saveurs « simples » mais parfaitement travaillées & réalisées à des mets bien plus audacieux mais le tout toujours dans l'équilibre & la justesse.
Les cocktails étaient eux aussi, goûtus & équilibrés.

Ratafia on Saint-Laurent Street was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

The space is charming & inviting, the service is warm & polished, & the food is both delicious & creative. We opted for the tasting menu, & every course was beautifully executed. The wine pairings were also very well done & complemented the dishes perfectly.

What truly made the evening special was the service. Our waitress was exceptional-genuinely warm, attentive, & welcoming. I only wish I knew her name so her outstanding work could be properly recognized.

The value is remarkable for the quality offered. The pricing is very fair & almost feels like a bargain for such a refined & memorable experience. Ratafia is a place that reminds you why dining out can be so special.

On a strong recommendation from our friends who had a magnificent dining experience.. the vegetable & dessert forward menu was eclectic, creative & extremely well executed. As there were so many interesting offerings on your menu we decided to participate in the carte blanche menu. They selected five outstanding starters machines & desserts that showcased their skill & creative use of fresh seasonal ingredients. The beauty of the menu & the pacing of the meal is that by the time dessert arrived, we had just enough room after the pallet cleanser to hit the highlight of the evening! It was a steady growing crescendo of flavor all evening long! Service from our server Camille was absolutely outstanding. She was friendly, attentive & knowledgeable. We had an amazing experience & look forward to coming back again in the near future! Highly recommended!

We ordered the seven course tasting menu at Ratafia. Overall, we were satisfied with the experience. It was very fusion with a lot of unexpected flavours & combinations, some more successful than others. The staff was extremely attentive & interactive describing the courses. The menu isn't very big so I would recommend checking it out before going if you are selective about what you want to eat. There is a small outside terrace right on St Laurent in addition to the indoor dining.

Editing to say that, even after the seven course tasting menu, my husband needed to have a small meal when we got home. I wouldn't advise it for big eaters.

The perfect spot for a date or cozy night out with friends. Service attentive, decor romantic, sound not too loud, craft cocktails & artful small plates. Loved it!
