Review Summary

Ramen Nakamichi draws strong praise for authentic ramen with rich broths, springy noodles, generous toppings and a calm, cozy vibe that makes it feel like a quiet corner of Japan in Montreal. Several reviews rate the bowls as among the best in town, with favorites including thick noodles, a silky tonkotsu or yuzu chicken broth, and well executed chashu, while noting generous portions and good value. The service is repeatedly described as friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is praised as relaxed and inviting, with some comments about a lively or quiet dining room depending on the time. Yet a number of visits report inconsistent execution such as cold eggs, lukewarm broth, and toppings like raw onions or arugula that clash with the ramen, or occasional miscommunication between kitchen and staff. Overall the consensus places Ramen Nakamichi as a standout ramen option in Montreal, with many calling it the go to spot for a comforting bowl and dependable experiences, even if some visits fall short of expectations.

I eat here every week, never get tired of the ramen. Good price compared to other noodle shops, & you can tell all the recipes are authentic. Would especially recommend the karaage! 😋

Very delicious & authentic ramen noodles. Very warm & detailed services. Make sure you try their ramen d'été, it's soooo good I had it two bowls in a row

Kind of a ghost town, don't know why. Overall it was really good, the broth is really tasty. I'm not a huge fan of thin slices of pork, it feels like it's designed to buy the premium dish & get more. But the premium tonkotsu was great.

I gave this place a couple of chances but in the end I have to admit I won't go back. The broths are lacking in flavors to my liking, but the porc is ok although nothing crazy & the thick chewy noodles are pretty good. That would have been 3 stars for me, but what brought it down to 2 is: who wants their ramen served with a spoonful of raw red onions & arugula? I certainly don't. Also the men's bathroom sink could seriously use improvements. Overall it is okay I guess, but definitely sub par & I personally didn't like it very much.

Plats savoureux

Visited on Sun Aug 3rd 2025 at 3pm. We found this spot as it was of the only spots open as most restaurants close between 3pm-5pm. We had a group of 14 & they had seating available all in one long table.
Food was great, service was good but the delivery needed work as there was a lack of communication between the kitchen & our server as our orders were being mixed up & they didn't know who ordered what even though we had a number, seat & per family seating arrangement to make things'easier'

Good atmosphere with original decor & nice music. The chicken broth ramen was really good, not too heavy with a generous portion

On y retourne ? Très certainement. Il y a encore bien d'autres bols à explorer.
