Review Summary

QDC Burger draws high praise for its meat quality, a fresh bun, and tasty toppings, with one review calling it the best burger in Canada and another praising Wagyu level flavor and the overall experience. House fries are very good, though the price is noted as being high and value can be questionable. Not every note is glowing, as several reviews call the burger not bad but not great and some mention small portions for the price. A few diners have nothing negative to say and feel it is worth the trip. Overall, the sentiment centers on superb meat and a premium burger experience, with price concerns that vary by diner.

If you're looking for a burger that treats indulgence as a sport, the Surf & Turf (O & Terre) from QDC Burger is the heavyweight champion of Montreal's Mile End. Born from the DNA of the legendary La Queue de Cheval steakhouse, this isn't just a sandwich; it's a high-end steak dinner compressed between two halves of a brioche bun.

?The star of the show is the'steak-cut' patty, a custom blend of USDA Prime & Canadian AAA beef that carries a deep, dry-aged richness rarely found in a casual setting. Perched on top are jumbo Cajun-spiced shrimp, which offer a snappy, buttery contrast to the melt-in-your-mouth beef. The flavor profile is rounded out by a hit of heat from the spices, tempered by the sweetness of caramelized onions & the bright acidity of their signature tomato chutney.

?Fresh arugula adds a necessary peppery crunch to cut through the decadence, while a generous layer of garlic aioli ensures every bite is lush. The bun, glossy, toasted, & studded with black & white sesame seeds-does a heroic job of holding together a burger that is structurally ambitious. It's messy, it's expensive, & it's unashamedly over-the-top, usually served alongside a mountain of their dark, hand-cut steakhouse fries. For anyone in Montreal seeking the ultimate'maximalist' burger experience, this is the one to beat.

I was told this is the best burger place in Montreal... I beg to differ. I mean the place is beautiful & the staff are very friendly, the price is reasonable & the burgers definitely look amazing... but unfortunately, I didn't like the taste. I've tried two different burgers here but both times, the texture of the beef patty & the seasoning were far from my preferred taste. So I guess you gotta give it a shot to see if it's to your liking or not, but I'd say it's worth trying at least once because the burgers are very different from typical burgers we see everyday.

The best poutine in Montreal. This is coming from someone who has been on a hunt! & the reason why this is the #1 poutine is because the fries are cooked in beef tallow - a refreshing departure from the ordinary motor oil used elsewhere. The result? Irresistibly buttery fries that stand out even without gravy. Though truth be told, that QDC gravy is king, an enigma of richness & flavor - so delectable it makes all other poutines seem bland in comparison. We found ourselves savoring every last drop, scraping the bowl for that extra bit of goodness. Bravo QDC on elevating a Montréal staple!
