I went to this establishment on a Saturday (prior to the Karan Aujla concert) after seeing it on Tiktok. The exterior looks great 🤩 The interior also looks great ....until you sit down. The front if the resto had 1 employee. Her English wasn't great & she was very slow. The restaurant wasn't full but did have 2 parties of 4-6 people each. We were 3. It took so long for someone to take our order that we only ordered an appetizer & 2 Sholay bhaturay. That took over 30 mins. The appetizer was a French fry dish & wasn't great. The fries were soggy but that might be how the dish is supposed to be. The main issue was that it was cold. The main dish was just ok.

The floors were disgusting. The empty tables were all dirty. The washrooms were horrendous 😭. When our thali came it was a pale pink plastic melamine material & they were severely stained to the point that you could scrape off previous food layers. Those trays should not be used in a restaurant, nor are they meant to be.

Another server showed up an hour later. It took forever to get our bill, so we could leave. The food was also not great. I'm so disappointed in this place given that it is designed so well. I didnt want to write this review but I feel in order for a business to improve, they need to know the truth & build from there. My concern was if the standard in the front was bad...what was the kitchen like 🤷 #DoBetter

Tip: You need a resto consultant to come in & train the staff on efficiency. As soon as patrons leave, their table needs to be cleared, cleaned & reset. The floors need to be swept. Cutlery, salt+pepper, & condiments need to be at the table.

It seemed obvious that there might have been a staffing issue but at gora restos, one server could have handled the volume & cleaning by themselves if it was like it was the day I was there.

The smell of a person's B.O can be overwhelming & to each their own but it was extremely strong & made it hard to enjoy the meal & stay any longer then we had to. Just as too much perfume can be too much...so was this.

The best Punjabi food in Montreal! Everything was incredibly delicious & satisfying. I indulged in the Punjabi Thali & paneer paratha. The paneer paratha was generously stuffed with paneer, making it a true delight. It's a must-try for families, as kids will absolutely adore the food. The staff is also incredibly friendly & polite, adding to the overall positive experience. We visited for dinner as well the same day 😊

I visited Punjab Canteen at the liege & loved the experience. The food was amazing & the server was excellent.She was so sweet ,welcoming & always took orders with a smile,making us feel comfortable. The food quality was great & i would definitely return for the same taste & service.
