The food was very delicious. Fiillipe treated us as like family & his customer service was
just amazing. It was one of the greatest Indian restaurants in Montréal. We'll come back for sure in future.

Great place for indian food at an affordable price, same thing with the drinks. The staff is also always very nice. Hidden gem in the snowdon neighborhood
Great Indian food. Went there with my fiancée & had a great time. There were lots of options, the server was kind to explain & answer our questions. Delicious
Our table & the table of 4 next to us had our orders forgotten by the waitress/ kitchen. They were churning out take out orders & completely forgot about their diners sitting there patiently waiting.
After 40min of waiting, I got up to inquire & finally our food was ready in less than 5mins.
The other table folks decided to cancel & walked out the restaurant but within 2 mins, the staff sat them down & brought the food to them. Judging on how quickly the food arrived after we complained/ walked out , it was clear that we & them were all forgotten!
Unfortunately, our food was too spicy- my son could not eat it. For the record, we do Indian & spicy foods all the time.
So, the spice gave us terrible heartburn. When we tried to tell them they blamed us for not raising the issue & said they could have recook the meal. Another 40 min wait? No thanks…
Punjab Canteen might not win any awards for ambience-it's a simple, no-frills setup-but if you're looking for authentic, delicious Indian food with warm, genuine service, this place is a gem.
Our family was in Montreal for four days & tried 7-8 different Indian restaurants, including some highly rated fine dining spots. But when it came to actual taste & hospitality, Punjab Canteen stood out by a mile. We ended up coming back every single day for brunch because nothing else came close.
Highly recommend the Amritsari kulcha-crispy, flavorful, & served with a comforting chole. The yellow dal was soulful & home-style, & both the chaat & bread pakora hit the spot. Real, honest food.
A big shoutout to Balram & Muskan, who made us feel like family each time we visited. If you care more about what's on your plate than the decor around you, this is absolutely worth a visit.

Food is awesome their Chana Bhatura remind me true Indian taste we stay Montreal 3 days each day enjoy their meal a lot..friendly staff ANCHAL is so polite & humble...must visit & enjoy their food
Best Amritsari kulchas in Montreal & Best North indian food in Montreal. We trued veg food & all the dishes were delicious.. highly Recommend this restaurant.
Récemment j'suis tombé sur ce resto punjabi franchement super ! l'hygiène y est impeccable, les ingrédients frais à souhait pis l'ambiance tellement détendue. En plus c'est pas trop cher du tout pour la qualité, l'équipe au top, souriante pis pro. Un régal ces saveurs authentiques, j'vous l'recommande chaudement si vous cherchez d'la vraie bouffe indienne. Recently I came across this really great Punjabi restaurant! The hygiene is impeccable, the ingredients are as fresh as you want & the atmosphere is so relaxed. Plus it's not too expensive at all for the quality, the team is great, smiling & professional. These authentic flavors are a treat, I highly recommend it if you're looking for real Indian food.

They served mouthwatering dishes very quickly without making us wait too long. The food was really delicious & the server/muskan was so kind & sweet in serving all the customers with a smile on face. Its a go to place for delicious indian food
At a loss of words for how awesome this place is. 🤤🤤 Everything is 10/10. Highly recommended. Do not go to any other place in Montreal if you wanna try authentic indian.
I am really amazed to have there food ive visited Montreal for three times & this is the place i visit atleast once while im there Comes to food Golgappe (pani puri) Lacha parantha with the gravy you like Gobi & aloo parantha & the best was masala champ it was awesome the best ive eaten in country aand taste same as it was backhome This is the best indian place i have visited in last 3 years in canada & please open a branch in toronto 😁

Here, the prices are fair, & the service is nice. The food tastes very genuine, like what you would find in India. The space looks amazing & has a good vibe. By far the best Indian food we had in our entire Canada trip, we tried food in Toronto, Quebec & here & this was the best Indian food we had just like in India. Amritsari kulcha was to die for along with chicken jalfarezi, & Indian street style noodles.
You won't believe how spot-on the authentic desi cuisine is here, & the prices just add to the appeal. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home, & the staff couldn't be friendlier. Definitely a gem for anyone craving some good Indian food.
