Review Summary

Overall, reviews of Première Moisson describe a bakery with a wide and appealing range of breads, pastries and ready dishes, often praised for quality and presentation, but tempered by uneven service and inconsistent quality across locations. Service is frequently described as slow or inattentive with long lines and occasional missteps, and some mentions of disorganization at the Marché Maisonneuve location. Food quality varies, with some items tasting bland or undercooked after reheating, while others, including certain salads and desserts, are well received; some concerns include unwashed greens and generic flavors. Prices are generally reasonable, though certain items feel pricey for what is delivered. The dining experience ranges from convenient take away and lunch options to crowded interiors and outdoor terraces where noise, smells and pigeons can detract from the atmosphere. Location can influence the impression, with some spots delivering quick service and solid value and others criticized for slower service and less consistent quality.

While the pastries are always incredible, the main issue is the service. As it's always incredibly busy, you must wait in line for your turn & there isn't always a table available. It's also rather expensive, but you can find a good variety of bakery items that are definitely worth a try.

Today sept 7 we went for croissants, coffee & picked up an apple pie too.We are regulars on weekends we like their croissants & their coffee is fine too. The apple pie however was tasteless, no cinnamon or nutmeg & the apples mushy & watery. The crust was quite hard with a sugar coating. Needless to say we were disapointed with their apple pie we expected better quality as we have tasted some of their pastries before & they are very good.

Everything is good except that the pastries looks good but are not very crispy & more like ordinary pastries stuck in syrup like in grocery store but for a higher price.

The bakery was one of the stops on our Bus tour around the city & I must say the stop was absolutely worth it. The place has awesome baked goods like croissants, pastries & breads. The thing I liked most was that the pastries weren't too sweet & were super fresh in taste. The staff speak French but also know English. But to access your turn one has to press the button for token & then wait according to the number to buy things.
