About

Première Moisson specializes in traditional French-style baking techniques centered on artisanal sourdough breads, flaky butter croissants, and elaborate fruit tarts. Every item reflects a commitment to quality ingredients, emphasizing stone-ground flour and seasonal local produce across a vast selection of patisserie staples. The inventory includes classic baguette varieties, rich chocolate eclairs, and colorful macarons crafted to precise standards. Savory options often feature quiches and various sandwiches prepared on house-made crusty rolls. This establishment maintains a functional, bright layout designed to showcase rows of baked goods behind glass displays. Patrons interact with staff at service counters where the focus remains on efficient transactions and the rapid replenishment of fresh stock throughout the operational day. The overall atmosphere prioritizes the sensory experience of freshly baked yeast and caramelized sugar aromas.

Review Summary

Première Moisson is widely recognized for its extensive selection of high-quality breads, pastries, and diverse bakery items, which many customers find delicious and fresh. While the food products themselves are often praised for their variety and taste, the overall experience is frequently marred by inconsistent service standards, including long wait times, orders being prepared incorrectly, and an perceived lack of attention from staff. Some locations are noted for being busy, noisy, and occasionally lacking in cleanliness or professional standards, leading to mixed reviews regarding the value for money. Despite the excellence of the core bakery offerings, frustrations regarding the ordering process, pricing, and service quality continue to be significant points of contention for frequent patrons.

While the pastries are always incredible, the main issue is the service. As it's always incredibly busy, you must wait in line for your turn & there isn't always a table available. It's also rather expensive, but you can find a good variety of bakery items that are definitely worth a try.

Today sept 7 we went for croissants, coffee & picked up an apple pie too.We are regulars on weekends we like their croissants & their coffee is fine too. The apple pie however was tasteless, no cinnamon or nutmeg & the apples mushy & watery. The crust was quite hard with a sugar coating. Needless to say we were disapointed with their apple pie we expected better quality as we have tasted some of their pastries before & they are very good.

Everything is good except that the pastries looks good but are not very crispy & more like ordinary pastries stuck in syrup like in grocery store but for a higher price.

The bakery was one of the stops on our Bus tour around the city & I must say the stop was absolutely worth it. The place has awesome baked goods like croissants, pastries & breads. The thing I liked most was that the pastries weren't too sweet & were super fresh in taste. The staff speak French but also know English. But to access your turn one has to press the button for token & then wait according to the number to buy things.
