Review Summary

Première Moisson earns praise for freshness and quality, with a wide range of breads, pastries, and cakes that many reviewers find delicious, and the coffee and sandwiches also receive positive notes; prices are not cheap, though occasional promos and the overall quality are seen as good value. The atmosphere at the market location is described as vibrant and appealing, and service is often fast and friendly even during busy times, with staff who know the products well and offer helpful guidance. Yet experiences vary: some customers report inconsistent service, with rude cashiers or hurried staff, ticketing or queue confusion, and occasional missteps like food arriving cold or packaging issues, which can dampen the experience. There are also comments about loud music affecting the ambiance and a few critiques about cleanliness or seating. Still, the bakery is regarded as a reliable destination for breakfast, lunch, takeout, and pastries, with many noting the quality, variety, and the sense of a Parisian bakery in the city, making it a go to spot for many shoppers and visitors despite occasional service hiccups.

I live close to Atwater market & I visit this branch of Premier Moisson at least 3 times a week. While I love their pastries, bread, Quiche, you name it, I was very disappointed in the fact that one of their staff members didn't understand the concept of hygiene or why she wore gloves for that matter. I happened to witness her go through an entire jar of coins (tips) to give the customer ahead of me, his exact change. She literally touched at least 15-20 coins, having flipped over the entire jar & then put all the coins back in. Naively, I assumed she would change her gloves after having touched that many coins, or have their courtesy to use tongs while touching the croissant I ordered. When she brought me the croissant, I had to say something, to which she responded if I had to do that every time, I would go through 100 pairs of gloves a day. I'm quite shocked honestly, that someone in the food industry doesn't understand basic hygiene. Don't see myself going back there, unless I'm buying something packaged & sealed.
