Best fried chicken I have. Crispy outside & soft & tender inside.Poulet FOU & Frit. The original Maffeo Poulet is now located at Cote des Neigrs 5701 Chem. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3S 1Y7 Note: Tasted both & they are equally the same. Good job guys.

My new spot for fried Chicken, love the place. Food is good. The owners are very nice. They even have karaoke. Definitely will go back for more fried Chicken. Thank you to the owners & staff

We ordered the 15-pieces set. The fried chicken was quite juicy, regardless of the part. The flavouring is on the heavier side, i'd recommend have some spicy pieces, maybe half & half. Overall a nice place to eat if you are craving fried chicken.

The food is great & worth the price. But every time I come here, I'll have to wait least 40 minutes, & often 1 hour. The worst is case is: I even saw the owner took 2 fries & eat themselves from customer's box before delivering to them...doesn't feel so professional at all.

I've always wanted to try their famous fried chicken, especially after reading many good reviews on little red book( a Chinese Instagram-ish app) ! Today is the day, finally! To be honest, it's a bit far to drive from downtown. It took me over 20 mins with slight traffic . When we got there , it was a little over noon, the whole restaurant smelled so good! The menu is pretty straightforward, either fried chicken solo or chiccken combo. I decided to go for the 8 pieces chicken solo , also the chicken bun bun , which turned out to be huge !! No kidding , one chicken bun is literally good enough for 2 personnes ! You could choose your fried chicken spicy or non spicy, of course, for me, I had to choose spicy as always ! The spicy chicken has an orange crusty skin on the outside, tender dark meat on the inside. crispy & juicy from first bite to last! So good 👍 I can't say more. I'm definitely gonna return whenever I want fried chicken 🍗

Excellent fried chicken. Big pieces, too. The amount of food properly reflects the prices. My only minor suggestion is that I wish they used normal fries instead of the coated fries. I don't know why places use coated fries. They don't taste good. They absorb the oil & have a bad aftertaste. It's best to just use PURE potato French fries - either straight cut or krinkle cut. With better fries, this place would be the best fried chicken restaurant in Montreal.

Food has always been fantastic & the staff are so hospitable & friendly. All the food is made to order so there's usually a 15-20 mins wait after you order. The dessert was really good ! Not too sweet, which was a nice surprise. My family usually offers the 10 piece combo with half spaghetti+ half fries, & there's more than enough leftovers for the next couple of days. The fried chicken is always perfectly juicy & the skin is very crispy, the fries are crunchy, the spaghetti is on the sweeter side (which my child loves), & the gravy is so tasty. Definitely need to try it if you're in the neighbourhood, I cannot recommend it more to anyone looking for a good fried chicken place.

The best fried chicken sandwich in Montreal! Their spicy is actually spicy, so beware. If you really like it hit, ask for the extra spicy. It’s deliciously hot. Plus there is a karaoke set up. If you are lucky the owner will serenade you with some Elton & REM. He remembered my daughters name after almost a year of not seeing her & brought her fishy crackers that she loved the last time. Excellent addition to Monk street.

There's lots of different fried chicken recipes in the world. If you're looking for the classic Southern style with buttermilk & heavy breading, then this isn't it. The batter they use at Maffeos produces a light, crisp crust from a mix of cornstarch &/or rice flour. This makes it far less oilier/heavier than the Southern style & they do it perfectly so the chicken still remains tender & juicy. Give it a try!!!
