We took our staff to Portovino on Decarie & were extremely happy with our meal, the service was friendly & staff was flexible accommodating our needs.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Portovino Decarie, & I can't recommend it highly enough. This BYOB gem offers great Italian food that truly impressed me. The table d'hote specials were delicious & a great bang for your buck. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable, ensuring we had everything we needed for a wonderful meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally delightful, providing a warm & inviting atmosphere that made our evening even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a fantastic Italian dining experience, Portovino Decarie is the place to go. Don't forget to bring your favorite bottle of wine to complement their incredible dishes!
We ordered the Table d'hote. Group event. But the food service was late, the fish contained so many bones which made it difficult to enjoy. We were told " the chef did the best he could" We got fresh hot bread. Very good spinach. Poor service, we were being rushed to leave the place to free up for the next group. No time allowed to actually enjoy the food & the company for the event. The menu included coffee or tea, but we did not get offered any. Instead we're told, we may not have time because of the next group arriving. Near the end, the room felt very hot, no AC felt. All service personnel was watching to make sure the large group left as fast as possible. It didn't feel welcoming at all.
Our server was amazing !! We were a party of 10 she got everything right. We had at the table people that were highly allergic to nuts , peanuts & fish & others were celiac. We were celebrating a birthday & brought our own homemade cake We were told after that there was a $3 charge per person for the cake we brought in. The owner/manager came to our table & said rudely "this is a bring your own wine restaurant not a bring your own cake restaurant " the only dessert that had was a cream brûle to offer. Never going back
The service was great, no complaints there. We were many people & I'd say that half of us didn't like the food (I did, but it wasn't amazing).
Unbelievably terrible service! The 3 previous times we were there, the service was decent. This was disgraceful!
J'ai adoré les entrées par contre mon plat principal très déçu, escalope de veau avec la sauce champignons. Je recommande l'endroit bel ambiance
I don't think I've ever had better service than Paula gave us during Sunday brunch. She made a special day even better!
Groupe of 40. Mixed adult & children. Food was delicious. Friendly atmosphere. Thank you for a great event.
We went to this Portovino on Mother's Day expecting a good quality dinner & experience (because the Portovino near South Shore was great) & we left somewhat disappointed. As another reviewer here has already said, the food is not bad but it's not great, yet you're overpaying. We ordered two different pastas (one was bolognese & the other was seafood) yet they tasted very similar, which seems like they cut corners somewhere. Also, the pizza that I ordered was generally over-cooked. It took over an hour to actually receive the food because there was a large group of 30 people, which this Portovino was clearly not prepared for (we could actually see the kitchen staff scrambling in the back & hear their head chef/manager yelling at them). Also, our two waiters were somewhat inexperienced & unprofessional in the way they interacted with us. I like the Portovino model, but we are not coming to this particular one again.
Very slow dinner service however the food was fresh & tasty! I would go again.
Nous sommes aller pour l'anniversaire de ma soeur Toute était très bien Too bad Aimee wasn't there Congratulations sweety

Can't believe we didn't find this place earlier when we looked for the best restaurants in town because this is definitely one of them. Great food quality, great service & ambience
Les employés sont vraiment gentils. La nourriture est vraiment très bonne , beaucoup de choix. Une mention spéciale à Marie dans le kiosques des fruits qui as rendu notre événement encore plus spécial. Merci :)
