The Sunday brunch is 5 stars
The croissants are so flaky & buttery.
So many choices, fresh & delicious.
Have them make you a fabulous omelette or grab some smoked salmon to have on a freshly toasted bagel. I am a sweet freak & the desserts are worth the visit alone. Pro tip, toast the pita in the toasting machine & have the guacamole with it.
A bit expensive for brunch but worth the splurge .
We went for Sunday brunch.
It wasn't as crowded as we expected, & there was plenty of parking.
The staff were friendly & the interior was clean.
Most of the hot dishes were served by the staff, so it felt hygienic, but it lacked the convenience of a typical buffet.
& the oysters were way too dry - almost like dehydrated oysters.
The dessert & fruit section was fresh & delicious.
The meat selection felt a bit limited, but the seafood was good.
My wife & I used to dine at the Portovino on Rue des Jockeys very often & we were extremely disappointed when it closed down. So much to our delight we were ecstatic to find out that Portovino had now reopened on Decarie Boulevard.
We decided to go there for dinner, & I have to say we were not let down. We both ordered a generous portion of Caesar Salad to start with & then for our main course we tried the Sea Bass, which was cooked to perfection & melted in our mouths. Service was excellent & I am quite sure that we will be visiting Portovino again in the near future.
UPDATE: My wife & I decided to go for dinner at Portovino to celebrate our wedding anniversary & I'm really happy that we did.
We ordered the Minestrone Soup, a green salad, their Famous Ossobuco, the Grilled Porgy Fish & a Crème Brûlée for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious & the service was superb as well.
Thank you Portovino for making our special day extra special.
We came to try the brunch & it was spectacular! Everything was delicious, especially the meat & the desserts, which were varied & so tasty. But the best part was Rosie's service; she made us feel so welcome & well taken care of. We'd definitely come back. Highly recommended!
Our waiter, Vince, was polite. Unfortunately he wasn't very attentive. We had two children dining with us off the kids menu, which included a drink & dessert. He offered neither until we requested it, but the kids didn't want a beverage after their dinner. We asked if bread would be served & we were told yes, it was in the oven. Maybe he forgot, but we didn't get it until after I asked again when the entrees were already on the table. Maybe he had an off night, as other reviewers raved about his service. We won't be be back.
Went there on a Thursday for lunch. Service was very slow. The waiter forgot to give options for the meal & served pasta. Did not seem happy to return it then was rude about dessert. Pricey for lunch. Salmon portion was small. Beware
The food is absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality & diversity of the platters offered for a sunday bruch, from appetizers to main course to dessert. It was well organiserd, clean & very cozy! Our waitress Rosie was a lovely person, very charismatic, patient & extremely helpful! Will recommend this to friends & family & hope to be back soon!
I went to a retirement party back in December 2024. The atmosphere was nice was. The food well cooked, seasoned & hot (like fresh from the stove, pot to plate) the dessert was decadent. I was glad I went.
The food was so good. & the waiter was patient & professional. Ambiance was warm. I loved it. Went for my birthday & when they found out they surprised me with a free dessert with a candle & happy birthday written in coulis on the plate.
I recommend this restaurant. Plus there's parking. All good!
My partner & I recently visited Portovino Decarie, & we were blown away by the experience! The service was outstanding, with attentive & friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely incredible-especially the grilled calamari, which was perfectly cooked & full of flavor. We also tried the Margherita & Prosciutto pizzas, both of which were delicious, with thin, crispy crusts & fresh toppings. To finish, we indulged in the three-chocolate mousse dessert, & wow-it was the perfect way to end the evening. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable dining experience!
Great service & high quality food. we shared a catch of the day & had the soup as well. Don't skip dessert! Cannolis are the freshest & SO GOOD!! The owner is also there & made us feel very welcome. Will be back next time I'm in town. 10/10
We went for lunch & tried their three-course special, which was the price of a single main dish. Everything was excellent, from the Caesar salad to the pasta & the crème brûlée for dessert. The experience felt truly luxurious, making it a wonderful way to treat yourself.
From booking to desserts, customer friendly! All the staffs were accommodating & so hospitable! Food were delicious & fresh. Helen is great 👏🏽 💖 Mary Ann is awesome 👏🏽💖
Hostess, owner, & servers were smiling, friendly & helpful. The food portions were filling & delicious. There were four of us. One had excellent mussels & fries. One of us had veal scallopini with gargonzola. One of us had veal scallopini with mushrooms. One of us had veal parmigiana. All delicious. Veals come with pasta but its easy to substitute. There is a full course option with soup or salad & tea or coffee. Menu has many choices, pastas, fish, mussels, veal etc. Although the dessert tray looked great we were all too full. Byob is a nice touch. Décor is nice. Tables nicely spaced. Free parking too. Highly recommended.
