Review Summary

Overall, reviews describe Point G as a standout for authentic French macarons in Montreal, offering a wide and creative range of flavours with a texture that balances a crisp shell and a creamy center. Customers praise freshness, vibrant colours, and the ability to delight casual sweets lovers and corporate orders alike, with fast delivery and friendly, professional service that resolves issues quickly. Some friction is noted in the checkout experience, such as being charged for a bag or facing a separate step to bag the order, and a Valentine order had a substitution from Strawberry Hearts to Matcha without advance notice. While many find the macarons delicious and not overly sweet, a few reviewers felt some batches tasted industrial or the packaging resembled factory packaging, and prices are viewed as high by some. Flavour highlights mentioned include chocolate noir, mimosa, pistachio, caramel, lychee raspberry, candy cane, and Matcha, with positive notes on balance and intensity. Overall it is described as a go to in Montreal for macarons and a solid choice for gifts or events due to the variety and quality.

After asking Gemini for a Montreal equivalent to Ladurée in Paris, Point G'Plaisirs Gourmands' topped the list, & they didn't disappoint. These are some of the best macarons we've ever had.

However, the experience fell short of'gourmet' due to unnecessary friction. Charging $1 for a bag after a $40 purchase, & requiring a separate transaction for it only after asking for a bag, breaks a basic rule of customer experience: reduce friction.
While some customers prefer to bring their own bags, to each their own; for a gourmet shop, a bag should be a seamless inclusion, not a secondary hurdle. The cost could easily be baked into the product price to maintain a smooth customer journey one expects.
Besides, they got all the order right, except for the Strawberry Hearts that seems were deliberately replaced with Matcha. Maybe they ran out. Shouldn't be an issue, but on Valentine's Day, I would have expected a heads up regarding the change when I came to pick up the order, not discover later when opening the box at home.

In awe & love with this place 🥰🫠💯 It's so pretty & lovable ... the lady over the counter was also very respectful & polite... We grabbed a box of 12 different flavors of macroons... 😃😋 They are amazingly awesome... Will definitely grab another one the next time.. The place has its own great cozy vibe.. Cheers!! 💯 (& a plus point it's all alcohol & gelatin free)🎉

We ordered a box of 36 assorted macarons for a birthday event. Great presentation & promptly delivered. Pistachio is my favourite macaron & we were disappointed that it didn't have a pistachio taste at all -- several of us tried it & aside from the colour, you couldn't tell that it was pistachio, as if they had forgotten the flavour. Raspberry-Litchee which was a new flavour for us was divine though & the other macarons were good too. Would order again...save for the pistachio!

A beautiful shop. I have been here often & the service is superb, the staff have always been friendly. The best deal for macarons is the box of 24 for 38 & there is a wide variety to choose from. Its a little walk from the metro Mont royal but this time of the year, the lights are so so pretty. Perfect for a gift or to bring as a snack/dessert for loved ones.
